13.01.2022 Spring is just around the corner so here is 5 tips to get your lawn in top shape. 1. Mow regularly & properly. Only ever cut 1/3 off, and mow regularly. Dependent on grass type, once a week is ideal but no longer then once a fortnight. 2. Water regularly. (Early morning ideal. Never middle of day).... Warm season grass = minimum half inch per week. Cool season grass = minimum 1.5 inch per week. 3. Apply wetting agents. To help retain moisture in the soil. 4. Apply a good slow release fertiliser early in season. 5. Apply soil conditioners. I.e. humic acid, liquid kelp, fulvic acid etc.. If your really keen you can do this step every 2 to 4 weeks. Of course if thats too much to do you can always hire us to help

06.01.2022 Winter is just around the corner If you love your lawn and want to help it thrive through the cooler months then enjoy these free tips Apply granular fertiliser now with an emphasis on the P & K. (NPK 3.12.12). This will help promote root growth and develop strong leaf blades.... Apply pre-emergent herbicides now to help reduce winter grass & other common broadleaf weeds. Overseed to support thickness and colour. Aerate soil to reduce soil compaction over the cooler months. If yellowing occurs apply iron chelate. Do not stop mowing, although mowing will reduce you should still keep it active by mowing at least every 3 weeks. If full dormancy occurs, reduce foot traffic to a minimum and remove any debris as regularly as possible. Alternatively, for a cheaper and less labour intensive option you can message or comment below to arrange a free inspection & quote on our yearly lawn care program.
