21.01.2022 Psychobiotics...gosh I love that word! Yesterday I was cleaning out our "junk" room to make way for my daughter's new bedroom. I found my old medical records from when I was a child. When I was about 2 years and 8 months old my parents had taken me to the GP because I was so irritable they "were at their wits end". Apparently I had gone from contented and happy toddler to grumpy, uncooperative and antisocial seemingly overnight. I was referred to a paediatric neurologist w...ho noted nothing out of the ordinary! But looking back through my history you could see all the respiratory infections I was repeatedly getting and the corresponding dose of antibiotics. Many, many times. No wonder I was grumpy! 06.01.2022 I've always advocated for zinc supplementation (most Australians are deficient in zinc due to our "old" geology in Oz, not to mention the SAD - standard Australian diet).
