23.01.2022 The District Weekend Pennants have started. Lawson club has entered 2 teams- Lawson Explorers (Judy Mead, Chris Semmler, Mona Soergel, Pam Watson) and Lawson Outlaws (Robyn Fitzpatrick, Margaret Lalor, Ruth Smith, Caroline Spilsted). These 2 teams were drawn against each other in the first round on Saturday, with the Explorers having a good win over the Outlaws.

Sybil Seymour-Smith, Rita Leggatt, Tina Banasiak, Cath Hibbard def Sandra Metcalf, Kylie Wright, Chris Semmler, Pam Watson. The final between Caroline Spilsteds team and Cath Hibbards team will be played on Friday, commencing at 10am.

17.01.2022 The final of the Club Fours saw Sybil Seymour-Smith, Rita Leggatt, Tina Banasiak and Cath Hibbard pitted against Robyn Fitzpatrick, Mona Soergel, Ruth Smith and Caroline Spilsted. The Spilsted team brought their A game, and came out comfortable winners. Congratulations to all players.

15.01.2022 The semi finals of our Club Pairs Championship saw two very close and entertaining games. The first semi saw Ruth Smith and Caroline Spilsted defeat Mona Soergel and Julie Wilson by 1 shot. The other game was also both entertaining, and a close battle, with Pam Watson and Kylie Wright having a last end win over Tina Banasiak and Kim Willis The final will be played on Friday (31st July) commencing at 10am: Pam W and Kylie W against Ruth S and Caroline S.

12.01.2022 Congratulations to the two Lawson teams, who both won through to the second round of the District Fours. Round 2 will be played at Wallerawang tomorrow, when the Lawson teams will play against each other. So it will be Kylie Wright, Julie Wilson, Margaret Lalor & Kim Willis playing against Robyn Fitzpatrick, Mona Soergel, Chris Semmler & Ruth Smith. Also tomoroow, the Senior Fours team of Wendy Callaghan, Sybil Seymour-Smith, Sandra Metcalf & Pam Watson, will play at Oberon. BEST OF LUCK AND GOOD BOWLING to all players.

11.01.2022 A fantastic day today for the Western District mixed pairs sectionals. Some great games and we congratulate all the competitors on a wonderful display of bowls and sportsmanship. The 3 section winners were - L.Townsend, I. Townsend ( Lithgow City ) M.Soergel, A.Favell ( Lawson ) C.Spilsted, R.Crean ( Lawson )... 10.01.2022 Club Triples semi- finals saw 2 enthralling games. The team of Deb Ferney, Chris Semmler and Pam Watson got away to a good start over Rita Leggatt, Judy Mead, and Cath Hibbard. However the Hibbard trio gradually bridged the gap, and came out winners 17 to 14. In the second semi, Kim Willis, Mona Soergel and Julie Wilson played against Robyn Fitzpatrick , Ruth Smith and Caroline Spilsted. This was a close game from beginning to end, coming down to the final bowl of the final end, with the Spilsted team winning 18 to 16. Well played to all 4 teams.

05.01.2022 Welcome Back!! Hopes of getting back to bowls yesterday, were shattered by the weather. HOWEVER....Friday is looking good. (If the green is closed, you will be conatcted with that sad news.)

04.01.2022 Congratulations to Robyn Fitzpatrick and Chris Semmler, who have made it to the final of District Pairs. They are an experienced pairs combination, so didnt panic when they were down 5 to 13, against the strong Workies team of Lesley Townsend and Cynthia Thornton. The Match was a thriller, with Robyn and Chris coming out on top. Tomorrow, (Tuesday), they will be up against Majellans Sue Murray and Mel Parker. It promises to be a great match at Lithgow Workies, starting at 11am.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL CONTINUE. ENTRIES FOR CLUB 4S AND PRESIDENTS FOURS ARE NOW OPEN. NAMES IN ASAP.
