Public Service Announcement on the Queensland legislation giving effect to the National Code of Conduct - COVID-19. . . The extended response period for the Covid-19 related relief expired on 31 December 2020. What does this mean? For tenants or the equivalent, rent relief requests whether in the form of waivers, deferrals or both are no longer available. . . However, eligible tenants remain protected until 1 May 2021 from the Landlord or the equivalent taking enforcement actions in the form of calling on bank guarantees or terminating relevant leases or arrangements. This protection is of course subject to the tenant having satisfied the relevant negotiated requirements and conditions for the relief. . .
