25.01.2022 Bit o’ creeping death for the morn. A religious experience. I recall when I first heard this thinking it was cool that it was based in part in the stories of Moses. I wasn’t raised in a religious household but was always fascinated by the technicolor films based on bible stories as a kid..... King Of Kings, Moses... yeah good films. Shame that Charlton Heston ended up being such a piece of shit, between his biblical films & Planet of the Apes I was quite impressed up until the paint he started ranting and raving about his right as an American to bare firearms. Yeah that left me kinda cold. I still rate this song though and would probably enjoy those films if I saw them again. If I could sit still long enough.

24.01.2022 My friend Ronny from Wreckless Enterprise @wrecklessenterprise Popped this CD in my freshly scrubbed hand today to check out in the car. Bewdy I thought, I’ll give it some love while I drive South with my work friend. We had to listen to the rest of my Killing Joke CD first and when asked What’s funny about killing people? I had to concede defeat & admit I had no answer. What I had forgotten is that on the vinyl format these songs go for approx one minute each.... so 15-tra...cks.... this CD goes for about 15minutes. I’ve heard this CD about 6 x times now..... familiar sounds, a few friends @plasterofparis_music Plaster Of Paris @hoonsfunland HOON..... I gave up trying to explain punk rock to my friend but I think he worked it out for himself mostly, in a way I’d not considered myself Some of these songs start 1-2-3-4, some have Oi Oi Oi and some have Woah-O in them...... yeah After the 3-4th listen I knew exactly what he meant. It accidentally ended up being the best album Metallica ever made with Jason Newstead after they stitched him up and hit the mute switch on his bass for ...And Justice For All!. Also responsible for switching me onto a lifelong obsession with Killing Joke & also making me re-examine the Misfits for an era that appealed to me more. The Garage Inc album they did later after losing the plot even more was a stinker. I never want to hear Metallica cover Nick Cave again as long as I live

In fact I forget this suitcase of goodies just about every gig. To be fair we haven’t played one in almost 7-months so a little forgiveness please. 07.01.2022 Remember how wild it was when Metallica got the artist Pushead to do all their artwork for singles and tee’s and merch shit? Also remember when they waited till their 4th album to make a filmclip for One because they didn’t want to put out any old sub-standard shit and they had a really great idea for this one. Then they did the Black Album and that clip they did for Nothing Else Matters with its montage of here’s a bunch of guys pretending they don’t hate each other goofing around making this album. Yeah it sucked. Kinda like Metallica now....
