04.01.2022 The past few weeks have been so full-on so I haven’t been able to post as often as I would have liked here at my beloved L&MB! In addition to the craziness of Easter and getting all of our Easter boxes out, we’ve celebrated our gorgeous little Orlando’s 1st Birthday & Baptism (last weekend, pictured here). My sister and I travelled to Adelaide for a precautionary breast MRI following our darling Mumma’s breast cancer treatment (she is doing so great). Side note: MRI’s are ...revolutionary and save lives but man, laying inside that machine for 20 minutes is a little traumatising, I did not enjoy it!! We fulfilled our first ever custom box order (see our last post for details) and spent time with visiting family and friends from Melbourne @abbeykaracan @c_vernucci & @btnfox It’s been a wonderful month but phew, I’m so pooped! All that said I’m impatiently awaiting the delivery of the final bits of stock for our next box! I think this box is an extra exciting one, so stay tuned, more details to come!! How has your month been? Would love to hear about it xx

02.01.2022 This month our book club read Believe It by @jamiekernlima and it’s the first book we’ve read that most of us have kind of struggled with The book’s blurb makes very big promises about what the book offers: Overcoming self-doubt... Gaining the courage to take risks and empowering yourself and others Tuning into and trusting your intuition Letting go of your mistakes and insecurities Turning down the volume on your inner critic I can see how her story about creating her very own multimillion dollar cosmetics brand touches on these areas, but there’s not a lot of how-to. It’s definitely much more of a memoir than a true personal development book. There was some good stuff. Quite a few liked the microphone analogy she used. Here she talked about how we each have a microphone that we allow others to speak into every time we interact with someone. We may not be able to control who speaks into our microphone but we do have control over their volume. We control how much of their communication we let in. Don’t like what they’ve got to say? Just turn their volume waaaay down! We meet for our monthly catch-up this Sunday morning, which always has so much great and varied conversation about what we’ve learnt from this months book (or haven’t learnt in some cases) and lots of other related personal development topics. I always look forward to these get-togethers so much and feel like I’m in such great company. There is something so special about a group of like-minded women coming together Later this week, we’ll also be voting on our book for next month. I love picking the books to put up each month! There are so many amazing personal development books out there I usually struggle to pick just 3 to put up in our Facebook group poll for selection! Want to join us? Just let me know, we’d love to have you!!
