25.01.2022 Thanks to Brendan, one of our experienced operators, another job well done. Definitely an improvement on what it was before hand, a lot of rock to fill the 1.2m deep hole in front of the apron!!

25.01.2022 Had an inquiry about doing 2 hours of mulching, to see how much we could get over and at what cost. The area we were to trial is part of a 100 acre block, everything under 150mm diameter was to be mulched, morten bay ash, poplar gum, chinee apple, rubber vine etc, traveled to site on Harvey range road townsville, unloaded and got into it. Customer was very surprised at the size of material we can mulch and the speed at which the rubbish gets turned to wood chips. We are mobile, so if you need some area cleaned up, give me a call. Pictures before and after, some pretty solid material. We are mobile, so if you need some area cleaned up, give me a call.

23.01.2022 Welcome to 2020, havent posted anything for a while, but here we are at Burdekin Falls Dam working for Sunwater. It really is a site to see, such a massive structure and body of water. It really is a picturesque place to be working, nice start to the new year. We have got a great crew, keen to have a go and get busy before the big wet! Some pictures of the scenery, before and after pics.

22.01.2022 Havent posted for a while, but we are very busy! Some pictures of the job that I have been doing with some dry hired equipment. Some major flood repair damage, lots of rock to reestablish eroded drainage systems.

22.01.2022 This is blasting down a 150mm hole, 1m deep. Pretty quick tidy way of making post holes in your lawn. For burying turf lines, electrical cables across to the shed, whatever you can think of that saves shovelling. Call us to save yourself time and blisters!

22.01.2022 Some before and after shots of a job at alligator creek. Absolutely unusable as it was, but what a few hrs difference with the mulcher makes!! Chinee apple and captain cook bush, can and will take over within 6 months if not controlled and maintained. If your back yard is like this and you want it transformed, let me know and we can rectify the problem.

21.01.2022 Brendan has been busy doing some rock work to mitigate erosion damage in some channels, weve got plenty to do yet in the next 2 weeks. We can supply, cart and place all types of rocks for erosion, materials for pad construction and repair or replace pipes.

21.01.2022 Before and after of a football field area, 23 truck loads of rubbish carted from this job. Had to mulch a lot of stumps and timber. If you need a clean up give me a call.

20.01.2022 Been busy mulching mango trees for solar pump installations and regrafting. Its different mulching complete trees instead of prunings for a change. Machine is performing well with the new fan speed to keep hydraulic temps down. If you need anything cleaned up or removed give me a call!!

20.01.2022 Bit wet and muddy, but going to get wetter. Quite surprising where this machine is going in this heavy black clay, so glad i have solid wheels and over the tyre tracks. No idlers or bogie rollers wearing out when the mud dries as per the old track machine, very easy to hose down and get to the next job clean.

20.01.2022 Brendan working on the mulcher again! Making wood chips! Any tree, anywhere, any size! Give me a call if you need to eradicate some trees. Layton 0427529866

20.01.2022 We have now added a Vermeer Vac Trailer to our business. This machine has a 1000L waste tank, and 400L water tanks on board. It will add another dimension of self sufficiency to our existing business, we are now able to go to a job, locate services and begin excavation straightaway. This machine is fantastic for the domestic trades as well, for uncovering pipe leaks, sewer pipes, fence post holes etc. No mess on lawns or driveways, no screwed up lawn, like the skidsteer af...ter digging post holes and cleaning up. Irrigation outlets are a breeze to reinforce and stop leaking, when you can dig a neat 3inch footing around them, box and pour concrete. If you need/want to save yourself a lot of shovelling and time, give us a call!

20.01.2022 A little bit of spaghetti we have also been working around lately! Soft sand doesnt allow for neat trenches, the deeper you dig the quicker it collapses. There is a number of services to work around here, it all takes time!

19.01.2022 Cleaning out some pump inlets on the mighty Burdekin River. Bit of an awkward spot when it is wet and slippery, extended to full reach and balancing on rocks. Lots of logs and silt blocking the inlet from the outside, tomorrow they are sending divers into the well from the inside, to clean around pumps themselves. Would be like cage diving with the crocs, if you could see them!

19.01.2022 Finished off this job at Woodstock this arvo, from start to finish on this block was 5.5 hrs. From 1st to 2nd picture was 1.75 hrs, shows the area that can be covered quickly. Removing all chinee apple, rubber vine and suckers. Total area mulched in this block is approximately 11.5 acres

19.01.2022 For people that don't know about the range of services we offer, here is just a little of what we've been doing lately. For all your pipe laying and repairs, drain cleaning, roads and shed pads, supply and cartage of material, site clean ups, tree mulching, vac trailer, float hire for machinery transport etc. Anything that can be done regarding civil works, we can do. For any enquiry please call Layton.

17.01.2022 Working on a road job, these profilers can move a lot of material in a hurry. Not only fast but very neat and precise, even stabilised material is able to be reused.

16.01.2022 Well, dont really need to say much, i guess its wet. Driving where trucks always drive, but after 680mm i guess this country goes to soup. Got the skidsteer stuck as well trying to remove dirt from under truck fuel tank, so it wouldnt be ripped off or bent whilst towing truck out. Has been an interesting week, to say the least!

15.01.2022 What a couple of weeks its been! From pipelines, spillways, recovering lost river pump lines to digging cattle plunge dips. The dip looks like a big grave until it gets the concrete laid, and blocks around it. We have got 3 dips to do in the next month as well as a mountain of other work, including moving into Ayr. Fun times!

12.01.2022 Taking down some massive Bowen Mangoes, planted sometime around 1946, worked out about 1hr 10min per tree. More room for haulouts cutting cane, no damage to elevators on harvestors, no big holes/bumps to be driving over. An extremely cost/time efficient way of removing this problem. I have been asked when turning up to jobs like this, What can you do to a big tree like this with a little bobcat like that? I think youve brought the wrong machine mate, have you seen the siz...e of those trees? Pictures speak for themselves, will post a video of mulching these trees soon. Call me if you have a problem like this that you want sorted!

11.01.2022 For those people that have never actually been to the Burdekin Falls Dam to appreciate the sheer size, and for those that havent been there for a while. If you zoom in on the picture of the spillway, you will see our 8x4 Metroliner tipper on the road out. To have a truck that most people know the size of, to reference against the structure. Really gives you an idea as to the size of this amazing Construction. Thank goodness we have had at least one politician with foresight.

10.01.2022 One part of the project we have been working on, building this spillway and taking precautions to ensure it stays in position without compromising stability by laying geofabric first. Water cannot erode the dirt base under the rock, geofabric is designed for these applications. It is an added expense, but nothing compared to rebuilding the wall if the rock spillway becomes undermined!

10.01.2022 Another little project we are working on, re-establishing a fish pond. The type of work I really love, landscaping and transforming a yard into something picturesque.

10.01.2022 Some more pictures of another job completed! Top job Brendan, like your work bloke! Maybe the drain will work like it should now that there's nothing to hold the water back! If you have a problem with tail water flooding paddocks that it shouldn't, give us a call.

09.01.2022 Guess what is behind all this chinnee apple???? It never ceases to amaze me how this rubbish grows and completely takes over! Oak valley Townsville I havent posted for a while, not because i havent been working, just because i fail to think of taking pictures and posting!

08.01.2022 Groper Creek, lots of silt, sand and sticks. Our backhoe has been busy with cleanup, thanks Pete top job.

07.01.2022 Some more pictures of an area before and after today. Covered a lot of area for the afternoon, including cleaning up the dam bank. When only selectively clearing, the speed and agility you can move between trees makes it pretty quick to cover a lot of ground fast.

07.01.2022 Bit of peppercorn tree removal this afternoon, at dalbeg. This pest tree grows interwoven, worse than mangroves and about 10 times the trunk thickness. Relatively easy to mulch and comes up really fine chip finish.

07.01.2022 Heres a bit of a close up of the mulcher in action. These are fair size stumps for mangoes that are only 30 odd years old. Some of the stumps weve done, the diameter is larger than the rotor of the mulcher is long.

06.01.2022 Brendan has been taking some pictures to show the great results after utilising the mulcher on the 272D. Our Customer was concerned about digging these trees out as there is multiple buried irrigation mains through this area. By using the mulcher, there is no disturbance to underground infrastructure but total destruction to the trees, regardless of size! Thanks Brendan

06.01.2022 Some more mulching pics, before and after! Currently at a 100 acre property in the woodstock area, selectively clearing lantana, rubber vine and chinee apple. Mulching like this has a lot of benefits, No mess, level paddock, easy to get around and spot spray afterwards. If you need some clearing done give me a call!

05.01.2022 Had a bit of a problem the other day, but thanks to Hastings Townsville, a very prompt turn around and back in service within 48 hrs. Now thats, why i buy cat!

04.01.2022 We received a call about removing multiple large Common mango trees from amongst an R2e2 orchard. As you can see from the results, complete removal with minimal disturbance to ground, and no damage to surrounding trees was achieved. This is a very effective and efficient method of destroying otherwise unprofitable trees. If anyone has trees of any description that they need removed, we can do them all. We are constantly mulching chinee apple and luceana for commercial and... private customers alike. Please call Layton

04.01.2022 This is more of our week, removing hymenachne from destroyed fencelines. When this stuff starts to float on flood water, there is no stopping it. It wraps, covers, buries, removes nearly everything in its way. The sheer weight of itself, coupled with the force of water behind it is incredible.

03.01.2022 Sometimes the jobs we get to do are picture perfect, then the next day brought back to smelly earth cleaning out sewer ponds!! From the beach to the turd plant, in 24 hrs. Gotta love it!!!

02.01.2022 Well we have had a couple of very hungry caterpillars lately, cleaning up 140 mango trees at Mt Kelly. We have used the excavator with hydraulic grab to break down and stack the trees, followed by the skidsteer with mulcher, grinding down the stumps. Removal of trees by this method is very quick and economical, as there is no digging stumps out. The advantage of not digging out stumps is that there is no land levelling required after tree removal. Especially if the land is only used to run cattle or horses or just needs cleaning up. If you have a block you need cleaned up, trees mulched, or any earthmoving requirements, house pads etc, give me a call and our team will be happy to assist.

01.01.2022 23 trees completely removed and the rest knocked down to size, soon to be re-grafted. Half a days work with the machine, or 2 days with a chainsaw and then you still have to get rid of it. An my aircon has bailed up, so its pretty tropical in that little cab.

01.01.2022 Digging out and removing faulty poly irrigation mainline. It is now getting cut into pieces to be used as culvert pipes, at least all is not lost! This pipeline has been in the ground about 5 years, 14 odd repairs later, and then removal. It was overcooked when made and went really brittle, constantly cracking and splitting. Note - we only removed this line, not installed.

01.01.2022 This is why the truck sunk!!! Unbelievable how this ground changes with bulk water underneath it. It will grow grass for a long time now.
