06.01.2022 Message from Rob Sutton: I am in Lakes Entrance which is a ghost town. "Lakes" is not affected like the rest of EAST Gippsland. The tourist were here but the media scared them away. They all packed and left in one huge migration back home and have not returned. Lakes Entrance needs your support if not now at least at some time in 2020. I have been coming here to run since 1982. Yes , I am that old. We have have had nothing but appreciation from the locals we have spoken to.... I believe that "Lakes" has suffered in recent years because families find it economical to fly to such places as Bali these days. Hence local tourist locations are suffering. Now with the fires having scared everyone away towns such as "Lakes" is teetering on the edge of financial disaster. To all the VUR members out there "Lakes" has countless places to run as well as great dining, beaches and VERY friendly locals that depend on you and I for their livelihood. So PLEASE make some time in 2020 to try out Victoria's best kept secret. A great place to start is right here at LAZY ACRES log cabins right in the middle of town. Its ten minutes walk from couch to surf as well as a great little single track run out to the "Entrance". See more

It's the perfect place for beachgoers, nature lovers, fishing and boating enthusiasts. Lazy Acre Log Cabins offers nine self-contained cabins with complete privacy, exceptional comfort and are designed to provide as much living space as possible. Each cabin is designed to accommodate from two to eight guests and includes a fully equ...ipped kitchen with all cooking and eating facilities. The bathroom with a shower and basin is separate to the toilet and laundry room with a washing machine and clothesline. Being pampered at Lazy Acre Log Cabins is a holiday within itself. With a Myotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist on site, we offer massage packages and treatments to suit all individuals. Guests also have access to free Wi-Fi, a coin operated dryer, mobile guest barbecue or private barbecue area, playground, spa, and a nine metre swimming pool. There is also a wheelchair access cabin, this cabin has been specifically designed for easy accessibility with a ramp and wide doors ensuring comfort and ease of those with wheelchairs, strollers or walkers.
