08.01.2022 R.I.P. George. Six years ago George walked down our drive and we were lucky enough that he decided to spend the rest of his life here with us. We never discover...ed where he came from or how old he was. He hasn't been looking well for the last few months and sadly he died two days ago. We will miss him. The guinea fowl will miss him. Our guests will miss him! See more

03.01.2022 WA’s first purpose-built trails centre is officially open and welcoming a keen influx of trails and adventure enthusiasts! The Dwellingup Trails and Visitor Cen...tre is the place to go before and after hitting the adventure town’s mountain bike, walk, paddle, railway, four-wheel drive and horse trails. The Centre is equipped with bike wash area, hot showers and toilets, with a café, laundromat, trails retail and equipment hire and shuttle service to commence operation in the next few months following a recent expression of interest process. Local Dwellingup business Dwellingup Adventures, has been selected as the successful proponent to lease and operate the trails related commercial activities. The appointment is subject to a public advertising period and approval by the Minister for Lands. The Centre’s visitor servicing has been enhanced digitally with the incorporation of virtual reality and interactive screens as well as a destination magazine and new, dedicated tourism website set to launch next week. Through the project, the Hotham Valley Tourist Railway is now a central feature of Dwellingup’s tourism offering, as a key component of the Trails Centre precinct. Murray and the Dwellingup community are proud to be the first to deliver this key piece of infrastructure for Western Australian trail users. The Centre is open Monday to Sunday 9:00am to 4:00pm (closed Christmas Day) and is located in Marinup Street, Dwellingup. The Dwellingup Trails and Visitor Centre project was supported by the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund and Dwellingup Community Association Inc. with fit-out supported by Alcoa and the State Government’s Regional Economic Development Grants Program which is delivered by the Peel Development Commission. 02.01.2022 We feel so lucky to be living in WA at this time of great uncertainty around the world. Our premier and his team are doing such a great job looking after us all and with restrictions easing next week, we feel it is safe for us to reopen on the 22nd May. We look forward to welcoming our loyal guests back to Lazy River and to welcoming new guests! This is such a great time of the year to be enjoying this beautiful property.
