16.01.2022 Network Update 3: A fibre break to our main transmission network occurred yesterday due to heavy flooding south of Mackay and as soon as this happened, we tra...nsferred services on to our alternative transmission network to ensure there was no disruption to mobile & fixed services. Unfortunately, the alternative network we routed affected services through to, had also been affected by a localised fibre break that occurred due to heavy flooding. The combination of the two breaks resulted in a loss of mobile & fixed services from Kooltandra to Home Hill. This included services in Mackay, Proserpine, Bowen & Ayr. Our guys are still working on this fault the heavy weather & poor conditions in the area have really impacted our Engineers getting on site quickly but it’s all hands on deck to have these services restored. We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this has caused & we’ll continue to keep you updated.
