21.01.2022 Apologies for the delay in posting this news but it has been a busy few days wrapping up the Asia Pacific Poker Championship and filming the The Poker Palace Australia High Roller. I wanted to share the continued phenomenal results from Ling Liu. On Sunday she finished 40th in the Asia Pacific Poker Championship Main Event. She was eliminated in was a very unlucky hand when she ran her pocket aces into pocket jacks on a jack high flop. It did lead to her having this conversat...ion with me: Ling "Hey Tom, I’m thinking about playing Marconi freeze-out. Want me to patch in?" Tom "When is it guru?" Ling " Tonight, it's the 20k GTD freeze-out" Tom "Oh ok groovy, of course I want that, go get a trophy." Unfortunately, she didn't bring home the trophy but she did bring home the cash, making yet another final table and $800. That's two cashes in two venues in one day! 16.01.2022 Yesterday we wrote a post announcing patching Dan O'Shea. In part we said; "Daniel has had an incredibly successful 12 months in poker, taking down big scores everywhere he plays. To our knowledge there are only two things that have eluded him, a 1st place finish/trophy in a major event and to be patched by LCAPoker" Prior to winning the opportunity to be patched, Dan attended a 1 hour poker training session at LCAPoker. We discussed learning methodology, GTO refreshers and B...ody Language profiling. I would love to say that our course was what pushed Dan to bring home the trophy, but the truth is his hard work and dedication to the game has paid off. (It is also true that as soon as Dan was patched he gets his 1st major trophy). LCAPoker doesn't believe in coincidence. 07.01.2022 Welcome aboard DOS. We have known the DOS back when he was still just O'Shea. LCAPoker recently hosted a marathon game to see who had the stamina to play long poker sessions. The prize for the player who could out last them all was $200 cash, a ticket into the APT Main Event where you will have an opportunity to play as an LCAPoker brand ambassador and a 1 hour poker coaching session.... 06.01.2022 This week, I sat down with Landon Blackhall and @Ben Blaschke to discuss online poker in Australia in the latest episode of the PokerMedia Australia podcast. Before I go on, I want to make it clear: I enjoy online poker and I truly hope that one day we will have a regulated online poker market in Australia. Not only would we experience another huge boom" in the live poker market, but also the return of major sponsorship dollars and broadcasting deals which in turn would hel...p in attracting more new players coming to the game. However, offering online poker from within Australia or offshore is an offence under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. There is no grey area here with the current legislation, especially after the amendments that were put in place back in 2017. For all who play online: please watch this broadcast. It is imperative that you learn and understand the inherent risks you face when playing online in an unregulated market. As I mentioned during this interview: I do play and I will continue to play online, but I am fully aware of the risks involved and what an unregulated market means. 04.01.2022 Cyclone Oma has run out of puff here in New Caledonia at Le Méridien Noumea Resort And Spa. It's a magnificent 24 degrees as we move into the action proper wit...h Day 1 Flights A and B of the 33,000 XPF No Limit Hold'em opening event. Last night was all about the thrill of the players’ welcome party and Casinos De Noumea certainly put on a show. A wonderful mix of French and Kanak dancing was a highlight for all in attendance. For those that weren’t partied out, 9pm saw the NCPO Main Event Mega Satellite 14,000 XPF ($185 AUD). The Event attracted 142 players, 14 would win their seat and our 15th player, just falling short of the 110,000 XPF ($1460 AUD) entry fee winning 95,840 XPF. Gaëlle Baumann from Team Pro Winamax will be joining us and we look forward to showing you her progress through the series. Tom Bower from LCAPoker will be on site for blogging and photographs as we move through the event. 04.01.2022 Quick update regarding chip counts on the live stream for the PPpoker "The Grind" 75k GTD Super High Roller: The software which displays chip counts is only as accurate as the counts we are given in breaks and at table movement. If bet sizes are not clearly announced there can be an occasional discrepancy in the true stack and in what is displayed. Australian Poker Tour and LCAPoker conduct a full count of chips in play at the completion of every filmed event to ensure chip s...ecurity and game integrity. I personally supervised this count and can assure all viewers that the chips in play matched the number of registered entrants (including any addition of race-off chips). The final table chips were checked at heads up and at the completion of the event and the total chips in play can be seen in the broadcast.

02.01.2022 Seats open - Table closed. Many of my loyal customers will know, I have said for years before this game (Red Dead 2) was released, I would take 2 weeks off to play it. However for the last 4 years I have had the privilege to film and broadcast poker all across the east coast of Australia, from Townville to Melbourne. When I am not filming major tours, I am coaching, training and hosting poker events at our boutique film studio in Queensland. I love my job and I love the poker... industry. For me, taking time off has just never been an option. In the last 4 years over $10 million dollars has been played for and streamed across this table. I cannot wait until live poker is back and we can return to our normal broadcasting. Until then, we will move some of our training courses and packages online and look to launch these products as soon as possible. But for now, for two weeks, I am going to go be a cowboy.
