25.01.2022 Painting Pots for Mother's Day
23.01.2022 Unfortunately there are not many photos this week as most of them turned out really blurry, however, the students enjoyed taking the photos regardless. This afternoon we set up our worm farm, planted our avocado tree (kindly donated by Mrs Carolyn Ryan) and set up our wooden planter boxes with garlic and chamomile.

22.01.2022 With a new garden bed to set up, plenty of weeding from over the holidays and staking of our tomato plants, the Green Team was kept super busy this maintenance afternoon.

19.01.2022 The second afternoon for the year involved setting up our final bed as well as planting all three garden beds. We also had some weeding to do along with working on our compost, fertilising the garden and cutting back some plants that had become overgrown.
15.01.2022 Setting up our second worm farm, discovering the Mexican Bean Beetles have eaten the leaves of our potato plants and digging a hole for our lime tree.

11.01.2022 Green Team is beginning again for 2019. This time we are meeting on a TUESDAY with our first afternoon being this coming Tuesday 12th. Students are to meet in the Jubilee Gardens so we can show new students to the garden. All students need to have a permission form in order to participate.
11.01.2022 Our second afternoon involved putting up a proper lattice for our passionfruit to climb as well as collecting basil seeds, weeding and fertilizing our garden beds. The next afternoon is 14th March.
09.01.2022 This maintenance afternoon was used to set up our potato cages. These are lined cages in which we will grow our two varieties of potatoes such that when we go to harvest we can just open the cage and collect the potatoes rather than having to go digging through the garden. It was also a good time to give the garden a bit of TLC with some fertiliser and, though never a popular job, some weeding.
09.01.2022 Our first afternoon for 2019 involved prepping our garden beds for planting as well as cutting back the plants that had become overgrown over the holidays.
06.01.2022 Harvesting, cooking and eating the produce grown. Dishes made: lemon and chocolate mint iced tea, baba ghanoush, gooseberry crumble, and roasted garlic basil pesto potatoes with rocket.
06.01.2022 Our first Green Team afternoon for the year involved pulling up all the weeds that had infested out garden beds before we could plant our seedlings for this year. Our next afternoon is Wednesday 28th Feb.
