12.01.2022 Since the beginning of Term 3, two Year 9 English students, Madie Howes (A/AAM) and Ben Grasso (X/MAC), have been participating in a virtual exchange with two small classes of English students from Prepa Ibero in Mexico. This has been a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn about Mexican culture while the students in Mexico get to improve their English skills. Madie and Ben also spoke to seven families in Mexico who are keen to send their children on a future Excha...nge Program to Loyola College. Congratulations to Madie and Ben on building these important partnerships and promoting our College.

From Monday, November 23rd to Monday, December 7th, stationery recycling will be available to all students and staff through Green Collect. Students can place the following in boxes provided by your Head of House. Staff and other members of the community can give their recycling to Ms Elise Mezner. 06.01.2022 Loyola student, Rohan Wein, competed at the 2021 Australian Age Swimming Championships over the break. Rohan went in ranked 34th & finished 22nd with a new personal best of 1.04.44 in the 100m backstroke. We congratulate Rohan on his incredible achievements!

02.01.2022 Have you been doing a spring clean out of your wardrobe and are not sure where to put your excess clothing? You can now bring your clothing to school and place it in the SCR Clothing Recycling Bin out the back of Old Loyola near the canteen and carpark for recycling/repurposing. 100% of the clothing that we collect is diverted from landfill. 70% can be reused in local and global communities where they are needed most. 15% is recycled into wiper rags and the remaining... 15% is converted into biofuels. For every kilogram of clothing collected, Loyola receives money that will be put back into sustainable projects. The top 5 schools for that year receive $1000 towards sustainability projects.
