19.01.2022 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Official Church Announcements Dear Brothers and Sisters,... As promised in our letter of March 11, 2020, we continue to monitor the changing conditions related to COVID-19 throughout the world. We have considered the counsel of local Church leaders, government officials and medical professionals, and have sought the Lords guidance in these matters. We now provide the following updated directions. Beginning immediately, all public gatherings of Church members are being temporarily suspended worldwide until further notice. This includes: Stake conferences, leadership conferences and other large gatherings. All public worship services, including sacrament meetings. Branch, ward and stake activities. Where possible, leaders should conduct any essential leadership meetings via technology. Specific questions may be referred to local priesthood leaders. Further direction related to other matters will be provided. Bishops should counsel with their stake president to determine how to make the sacrament available to members at least once a month. We encourage members in their ministering efforts to care for one other. We should follow the Saviors example to bless and lift others. We bear our witness of the Lords love during this time of uncertainty. He will bless you to find joy as you do your best to live the gospel of Jesus Christ in every circumstance. 08.01.2022 Hello Brothers and Sisters of the Gold Coast Australia Stake, Hope youre all going well. Last week, we received recommendations from the Office of the Quorum... of the Twelve Apostles around church meetings over the next few months. After consulting with our Area Seventy, Elder Carl Maurer, and in an effort to align with the direction given, we are proposing the following changes, which are now reflected in online calendars: Sunday 29th March: Sacrament meeting to be fast and testimony meeting. This will be our designated Fast Sunday (for April). Sunday 5th April: General Conference Broadcasts at Mudgeeraba and Lismore chapels as follows: 10am (Saturday AM session); 1pm (Saturday PM session); This will allow all members to view these conference sessions the day after they are held in Salt Lake City. Sunday 5th April: Stake Easter Musical Devotional, 6-7:30pm at Mudgeeraba Stake Centre: All members and their friends are invited to attend. Saturday 11th April: General Conference Broadcasts at Mudgeeraba and Lismore chapels as follows: 10am (Sunday AM session); 1pm (Sunday PM session); 6pm (Saturday Special Session - for this conference only, the Saturday evening session will be for all members of the Young Women and Relief Society and all holders of the Aaronic Priesthood and the Melchizedek Priesthood.). Sunday 12th April - Easter Sunday: Come and See Sunday: All members encouraged to invite friends and neighbors to join in celebrating the Resurrection and Atonement of Jesus Christ. Further information about the above will follow over the next few weeks. Thank you for all youre doing and have a great day! 05.01.2022 If you ever wonder why bad things happen to good people like Nephi and his family, you may find insights in these chapters. But perhaps more important, you will see what good people do when bad things happen.

04.01.2022 Its humbling to recognise the inspired direction of our Prophet, President Nelson, when, in 2018 he introduced the home- centred curriculum, Come, Follow Me.... With Church gatherings around the world temporarily suspended, what a blessing it is to have the knowledge and tools to continue our spiritual progression. See more

We look forward to joining in this special fast together and invite everyone to please pass this information to all in our stewardships. Thanks for all you do and are! We are grateful for your service and pray the Lord will bless and direct our efforts in 2020 as we strive to walk in the light of Christ: https://pacific.lds.org//Pacific%20Area%20Focus%202020_com Love and best wishes, Daniel Shine, Adam Smith and John Blair Gold Coast Australia Stake Presidency With all that is unfolding with the catastrophic fires and drought conditions in much of Australia, we invite the Australian Saints to unite with one another and the Pacific Area Presidency on the first Fast Sunday in January, 2020 (5 January) and dedicate a portion of their fast to petition the Lord for relief from the bushfires and drought conditions. Should members wish to donate funds to be used to offer relief to those impacted by the fires and drought then such can be done by using the Church donation slip and noting the amount beside Humanitarian Aid. Please know the prayers of the Area Presidency have been and will continue on behalf of your nation during this challenging time. Sincerely, Pacific Area Presidency
