We look forward to welcoming you again next time! ... REVIEW: Sixty going on Seventy ones taste buds are not virgin material. As Tom Waits said, "Wasted and wounded." Well not totally, but as every senior knows it takes a bit to get started. Now, why should I write a review? Simple food, average service? Bland tucker ? NO. So if the opposite is correct, Ethnic (Italian) food, fantastic happy service and flavour to cry for, why should I not exclaim to the world. Do I however have the experience or knowledge to pass judgement? In 1989 I ate great food in the central and northern parts of Italy. Then for three years I owned a cafe where the Italian influence was always a part of the menu. So last Saturday night it was a tremendous leap back in time to true traditional flavours. I was so greatfull that we had to dine early because the exquisite flavour of the marinated eggplant and sweet peppers had me crooning with pleasure. I would say that if you need your Italian to be smooth and nothing then what Luke and his team have here is not for you. If your culinary buds need a shake up then pop over to see Luke and his girl Friday. Its raw food inspired by an amazing region in Italy and lovingly brought to us by a great cook in his Grandmothers traditon. Taste that goes back generations. and tastes divine.
