Our client is seeking a full time Stainless Fabricator is expected to address all matters relating to the preparation and installation, for bal...ustrading or associated Balustrading WA products. CANDIDATES MUST: Have sheet metal experience; Be able to architecturally tig-weld stainless steel. Have an eye for detail in this very specialised area of work. Hold a current WA driver’s Licence and own transport. Hold a White Card. POSITION SPECIFICS Ability to TIG weld light/heavy gauge stainless steel tube and flat bars to decorative neat finish. Fully conversant with all machinery used in the manufacture of stainless steel components i.e. Coldsaw, Bandsaw and Pedestal Drill etc. Be able to polish finished items to either a No4 Satin finish or No 8 Mirror finish in the factory or onsite using barrel/pedestal grinders. Be able to read workshop drawings and interpret what is required i.e. material list, fabrication method and finish required. To have a good understanding of grades of stainless steel pickling and passivating methods. Complete installations/fabrication to balustrading standards. Work within minimal tolerances. Work in with other trades on site. Liaise with owners/builders. Ensure sites are left clean & tidy. Any other duties as directed. Our client is seeking a full time Site Surveyor is responsible for all matters relating to the preparation of production and installation based requirements, f...or balustrading or associated balustrading products. CANDIDATES MUST: Have an eye for detail. Be able to accurately measure and produce drawings for production. Understand building plans. Hold a current WA driver’s Licence and own transport. Hold a White Card. POSITION SPECIFICS Attend sites as required to accurately measure, and take drawings of areas that require the installation of any Balustrading WA products. Check and confirm all site details including style, colour, location and site address prior to processing job sheet details through to production. Responsible for providing sufficient accurate information and measurements to allow the timely fabrication of all required products prior to the commencement of installation activities Liaise with the Production Manager on an ongoing daily basis to ensure a consistent flow of information. To assist in creating working documents for the fabrication of various styles of balustrading in the computer. Keep accurate filing systems and records of previous and current jobs to ensure quick cross-referencing of information as required. Responsible for contract review of all jobs prior to issue to production. Any other duties as directed.
