24.01.2022 This is such great news for our very special corporate partners at the KTF. Still moving forward and growing even in these difficult times. #inspirational

23.01.2022 A great insight into an Australian success story that started from a research trip through Asia 15 years ago. A trip that was driven by a desire to find a better way of doing things that would have a positive impact on future generations. This snap shot not only looks into the past but shines a light on what the future looks like and how we must change the way we think when lighting up public spaces. #Australia #tech #innovation #Leadsun... #solarlighting #publicsafety #walking #awareness #pr #adonimedia See more

19.01.2022 Interestingly, recent research has found that high illuminance or very bright and overlit spaces that shine all night does not correlate with perceptions of urban safety. However, analysis has shown that consistent and layered lighting where there are multiple light sources with adaptable warm light create the most inviting and safe environments. This is why the City of Maribyrnong chose an adaptable lighting solution with flexible lighting control around Skinner Rese...rve in Braybrook, Victoria, Australia. While the illumination of this area was a priority for popular times in the evening, the council did not want unnecessary lighting late in the night that could possibly encourage ‘anti-social’ behavior. 16.01.2022 "Community-led projects like this really demonstrate the benefits of transitioning to renewable energy, not only for the community but also in building a sustainable energy future for us all. - Hon. Lily D'Ambrosio. Yinnar District Community Association raised $20,000 for the project and was supported by the Latrobe City Council who contributed a further $20,000. The Latrobe Valley Authority granted a Community and Facility Fund worth $120,000 to complete the project. That is what we call teamwork

14.01.2022 Leadsun was invited to partner with the City of Melbourne Industrial Design Team to create a modern, innovative, and sustainable outdoor sculpture by converging Leadsun’s solar lighting technologies into a spectacular tree-like sculpture that also demonstrates that we can power and light out cities with the limitless, clean energy from the sun. Click the link to read the full story, including how we honoured the indigenous natural heritage by using reclaimed indigenous timber for the circular wooden seat located at the trunk of the tree. https://leadsun.com.au/solar-tree-city-of-melbourne/

13.01.2022 The future of Smart City Street Lighting has arrived and it was developed right here in Australia. After years of development in Melbourne, a leading US property developer has chosen Leadsun's FREEDOM series solar street lights to illuminate the streets throughout two huge Master Planned Communities in Florida. With over 1000 lights already installed, they plan to implement a further 10,000 lights over the coming years. This great Australian success story proves solar stree...t lighting technology is dependable, and now is the time for progressive Australian residential property developers to look at Smart City Street Lighting when planning projects for the future. 12.01.2022 The Frankston City Council identified the need for more lighting in one of it's more popular car parks as it was being used by a variety of people including a local sporting club, commuters using the Seaford train station, and late evening dog walkers. However, rather than just hooking up more lights to the power grid, they have opted for a SMART solar lighting solution that will take the pressure off the power grid, have no ongoing electricity costs, and is an environmentally friendly solution. Sometimes we need to take a moment to challenge what has been done in the past and start looking at new technologies that will take us into the future. Well done Frankston City Council.

11.01.2022 There's nothing worse than trying to bait your hook on a poorly lit jetty. The residence and visitors of Tooradin will be loving the reliable lighting along the local Jetty that we installed 8 years ago. To this day all lights are still shining bright and providing safe visibility for everyone. Click here for more info on this project > https://bit.ly/3ovwbb1... Turn sound on to capture the vibe

11.01.2022 The local residence around Westleigh Drive and Anne Street in Werribee are now walking with a warm glow of light thanks to Wyndham City Council investing in solar street lighting along a shared pathway in their area. These works align with the recently adopted Wyndham Active Transport Strategy 2020, and shared paths like this one are important, not only for exercise and wellbeing but also for commuting and providing access to public transport, offering residents an alternativ...e to car travel. 09.01.2022 The good folk of the Meadowvale Retirement Village are now in a state of illumination after their community is finally bathing in a source of reliable and environmentally friendly light. Not only this, the new lights have a low-wattage asymmetrical lighting beam that is controllable so no light spill or excessive glare goes into their residences. After continual power outages and expensive repair costs to the previous grid-powered lighting they used to put up with, they ar...e now celebrating and basking in the power of the sun... but at night. 06.01.2022 With an increase in bike theft and student safety concerns, the Southern Cross University in the Gold Coast needed to address the lack of lighting along a pathway connecting the campus building, bike compound, and car park. However, they didn't want to compromise on the sustainability plan they had in place. The solution, sustainable solar lighting powered by the clean, limitless energy of the sun. Sounds Smart. ...
