19.01.2022 After a couple of weeks of being unwell to a couple of weeks of good food, naps and lots of exploring in Thailand and Cambodia, I am back and raring to go.
14.01.2022 You never really know how doing what your passionate about or just being yourself can impact on someone else. I used to worry practically all of the time what people would think about what I was doing, or what someone would think if I said something, or was truly myself in a certain situation and would replay situations in my head over and over again or even sometimes make them up in my mind before it even happened! I rarely thought of the other side, the ripple effect of po...sitiveness (yep just made that up) that being you can have on others. Perhaps you being your authentic self gave someone else the inspiration to be themselves or you looking after yourself showed others that they deserve to look after themselves too or You doing your hobby motivated someone to pursue their creative projects. You just never know who you can inspire by showing up wholeheartedly as you. I had three people last week tell me that I inspired them to pursue something in their own lives, and I am so excited for them! Maybe you can think of someone in your life that inspired you to be something, do something or feel something. Let them know. And as for you, keep being you, keep doing you because there will be someone in your community or network that is inspired by you for being your authentic, vulnerable, genuine, real self. See more
11.01.2022 We have arrived in Tassie and had a great start to the trip! Excited to meet everyone at the BYCA Inspiration day later this week, until then, more exploring for us !
06.01.2022 MINDFULNESS A practice that has been around for thousands of years yet can somehow seem almost impossible in our fast-paced ‘busy’ lives. Well, probably a sign that we need to connect back to the awareness of our thoughts and sensations more than ever. Observe your thoughts, feelings and sensations without judgement. The smell of flowers, the sounds of birds chirping, and the feel of the heat of the sun. You can do this anywhere.... Start where you are. Listen to a song- listen to every part of the song- the guitars, the drums, the vocals. Observe your thoughts- Take notice of the thoughts that come into your head for a couple of minutes. Go for a walk- what do you see and hear? Turn the tv off and pay full attention to your delicious meal. Download a mindfulness app such as Headspace, Calm or Smiling Mind.
