24.01.2022 This is probably the *only* time where I'm okay with fake plants. But once you're ready to level up, Domain has also included my tips on what plants are ideal for those 'who kill everything'! ;-)

15.01.2022 In desperate need of inspiration this wet weekend? Together with Interiors Addict, All Sorted Out - Jo Carmichael and Jane Thomson Interior Design, we share tips on how you can refresh your home with just a few simple tricks. While it may not be ideal weather for gardening (although, I do recommend adding applying a soil wetter to your lawn and garden beds to maximise water use!), it's a good time to get decluttering and redecorating!

12.01.2022 Message for the year - keep growing! It's been wild, 2020. You've shown and taught us many things, but one key takeaway is that despite it all, we need to keep growing (or even some days, just keep going) I hope you all have a happy and safe new year. May 2021 bring you more love, but ultimately, more plants (that's the same thing, right?) Let's go, 2021! #happynewyear #newyearnewplants

09.01.2022 Have you noticed these little annoying black flies in your home or around your plants? Or maybe you've had one fly directly into your face when you're scrolling through Facebook or trying to get into a good book?! Yep, we've been there. They're fungal gnats and while they're not detrimental to plant health (unless the infestation is severe) they're incredibly annoying. And they seem to multiply overnight! . . Get on top of them quick! We recommend drenching the soil of affected plants with eco-organic garden eco-neem. You will likely need to apply a few times, especially if the infestation is out of hand. You can find the product online or at your local garden centre.

08.01.2022 LET'S GO BEHIND THE SCENES Workshops are a lot of fun, but there is also A LOT of work that goes on behind the scenes to make them happen. The wreaths used for our vine wreath workshop are hand sourced (swipe left to see a ridiculous image of me in the front end loader of a tractor, thanks @phytonaustralia!). It certainly looks like fun, but it can take hours to cut, collect, defoliate and then load into the back of my mini van. As this is done weeks before the wor...kshop (can't leave too many things to the last minute!), I then have to soak the vines in a large inflatable pool to ensure they're pliable to bend into a wreath. I personally don't like using store-bought vine wreaths, as I think there is a certain charm about having to work with nature to craft your own. Plus, the little imperfections with once-live branches makes them just that *little* bit more appealing. I'm probably making it harder for myself, and maybe no one cares? Let me know what you think! #womeninhorticulture #sydneycreatives #christmaswreathworkshop See more

If you're new to gardening or have friends or family who are getting into the growing spirit, this book is a must-have!

01.01.2022 My first editorial in ABC Gardening Australia magazine! We explore some of the more popular cycad species and how you can grow and landscape with them in your garden. Truly an amazing genus - they existed some 300 million years ago, long before dinosaurs roamed the earth. My guess is they will continue to outlive us all (especially if we continue the way we are...) . . #gardeningaustralia #gardeningaustraliamag #cycadslovers
