25.01.2022 Presenting Short Tail & 2 Toes 40th chick. Hatched last night at 11pm. This was fully incubated by me while the other egg (due today/tonight) is with mum. Weighing in at 15.5 grams we are thrilled.

24.01.2022 Difference in size with the sub-species. Boy (Grand) & Girl (Red-Sided) hatched 5th&6th December respectively. Girl weighing 355 & boy 470 as of this morning. 24.01.2022 Hatched this morning. This is the 45th chick from my 2nd best breeding pair. They incubate perfectly but do not feed hence me taking the chick at hatch. Weight of 15grams.

19.01.2022 Here at Blue Ridge Eclectus, naturally we have baby Eclectus, however, these darling little ones started arriving Wednesday. There are a total 18 more eggs under the remaining 3 hens. Omg!

19.01.2022 "Aussie" loves helping out wether it be washing dishes or putting the cutlery away. Trouble is getting him out of the kitchen drawer!

13.01.2022 These Malabar parrots are growing up so quick. Everything has increased - including their "voices" & attitude! They like to nip. Such gorgeous little birds.

10.01.2022 Back home after my 8 day hospital stay for a TKR on my R Knee. My house boy says when I appear in the doorway- "Watta you doing"! Followed quickly by ear deafening screaming to be let out. Straight over to me & multiple kisses. Pain forgotten! Hubbie did an amazing job caring for the 45+ birds as well as the babies.

10.01.2022 Coming up to 3 weeks old is this adorable red-sided Eclectus young chick. All the down is visible under the skin & will within a week be fully covering the chick in a lovely soft down.

09.01.2022 Keeping busy while self isolating. Picked these yesterday from the bush. I never take too many even though there are loads. Once "sterilized " through slow baking, they are turned into toys etc.

01.01.2022 Congratulations to us! Our 1st hatch of the year via our fantastic INCA Incubator. Weighing in at 16 grams is this pair's 44th chick. They do not incubate or raise their chick's hence us incubating for them.
