22.01.2022 BUILDING YOUR DREAM BODY DOESN’T TAKE MONTHS, IT TAKES YEARS! I have been training for 8-9 years now. My body has been through many stagesBuilding, dieting, strength, maintaining, and even eating disorders.... People always expect results fast, in a matter of weeks or months! In reality it just doesn’t happen this way! Sure, you can go on a crash diet and lose a few kgs pretty fast if you try. But truly building your physique, takes time, a long time! Often what we see on Instagram is the end result, the best angles, the best lighting, and even photo shopped. But we don’t always see the years of work, all the different phases. If you are at the beginning of your journey, don’t ever compare yourself to other girls. You don’t know their back story. You could have been training for one year and you are comparing yourself to a girl who has been training for 8 or more years. I know its hard but, stay in your own lane. Stay focused on yourself, don’t worry about what other girls are doing, what calories they are on, or what has worked for them. Because you are unique, and it might be right for you. Be patient, be consistent, and never give up. If you really want to change your physique, learning the methods on how to do it will be the best investment you ever make, it will set you up for life! I have limited spaces available for online coaching! My programming is individual to each person to ensure the best results. To find out more about working with me, click the link in my bio!
20.01.2022 SOME FRIENDLY REMINDERS TO START OFF YOUR WEEK Things will not always be perfect, and sometimes you just have to be ok with that. Doing something is always better than nothing. Doing the best with what your situation is, will always be better then just not trying at all because it cant be ‘perfect’ You are responsible for all of the choices you make. The choices you make lead you to your outcomes in life. Take responsibility for your actions.... Don’t get so caught up on the end result. If you are making small steps each day towards your goals, then you are doing well, and you will get there. Give yourself a pat on the back for doing well, rather than be so hard on yourself for not being where you want to be yet. When you feel healthier, everything is better. You will have more energy, a better mindset, feel more focused and feel more alive! So get good sleep, eat your veggies, less processed food, drink your water and go for walks daily. When your health is on point, everything else just flows! Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. They might have been on their journey a lot longer than you have. Focus on yourself. There is always something good in every day, its all about perspective. Always be grateful for everything that you have in life because things could always be way worse.
12.01.2022 Losing body fat is HARD. But so is being overweight. Being fit is HARD. But so is being unfit Being Strong is HARD, but so is being weak. ... Choose your suffering, choose your hard. Nothing worth having comes easily in life. If you have a goal, then keep working hard for it, because life will be hard anyway! Be patient Be consistent Never give up Be the best damn version of yourself you possibly can be
12.01.2022 WHY ARE YOU PUTTING SO MUCH PRESSURE ON YOURSELF? There is no rush when it comes to achieving your goals. So why do we put so much pressure on ourselves to get there? I know myself I used to do this, acting like I would literally turn into a pumpkin if I didn’t reach my goal by a certain date.... But putting this much pressure on yourself, can lead to negative behaviours. It can cause stress and anxiety, and lead you to feeling like nothing is ever good enough, which is not a nice place to be (been there, done that!) So tell me this, if you are not competing in a fitness modelling competition, then why set yourself such silly deadlines? You just don’t need to put that kind of pressure on yourself! Discipline can still have flexibility as well. If you are setting yourself an unrealistic deadline of when you need to achieve your goal by, this can lead to things like: Avoiding social situations Not spending time with friends or family to avoid food Binge eating because you are restricting yourself so much Increased stress and anxiety around food. So if you do find yourself stressing and putting this kind of pressure on yourself to be so perfect.then take a moment and just think, why? What for? Is my life going to fall apart if I don’t have abs by a certain date? NO! And the truth is, no one would really even notice or care, except you. So you need to ask yourself 1. Are your goals even realistic 2. Do they even align with your values? 3. Do you enjoy the process? If you are miserable in the process, then there is just no fucking point. But having more flexibility in your life will allow you to enjoy it more! There is no rush. As long as you are moving forward, who cares how long it takes. If you miss a workout, you will not die. If you go over your calories one day, you will also not die. All you need to do is accept it, move on, and get back on track the next day, or the next week. I always talk about how important it is to focus on the process, not the outcome. Focus on just improving by 1% even each day, or each week!
05.01.2022 Have you ever caught yourself saying things like: Its too hard.. I could never do that..... That’s just not for me.. I don’t have the time.. I have tried that before and it didn’t work.. You see, these things don’t necessarily have to be true, but if we repeat them enough to ourselves, then they become true! Your thoughts become who you are as a person. So if you keep saying shit like this over and over again, then eventually you will start to believe it. I love the analogy of a tree root. When that tree is young and only just planted we could so easily go up an rip it out of the ground roots and all. But when that tree has grown to full maturity, it becomes harder and harder to pull up the roots. It’s the same as our thoughts and beliefs. The longer we hold them to be true, the harder they are to give up. The thing is, if you let these limiting beliefs rule your life, they will determine the outcome of your success. You have to actually start believing in yourself, if you want to achieve your goals. If you don’t think you can actually ever achieve it, then your mind will automatically self-sabotage you out of it. Do you think an athlete would prepare for a competition with the mindset that they were going to lose anyway? No way! They would be thinking about WINNING! They would go into their prep and give it everything they have because no matter if they win or lose, its about the work that you put in along the way. You have to start treating your goals this way. With a winning mindset. This is why part of what I teach with my clients is based around mindset. Having the right mindset and believing in yourself is how you will succeed!
04.01.2022 You cant beat yourself up for not being where you want to be, if you haven’t put the work in. You either know what to do, and you are not truly doing it, or you don’t know what to do. In either case, if you are beating yourself up for not being where you want to be with your fitness goals, and you are not receiving proper help or advice, then it might be time to invest in a coach.... Your results do not happen because of going to the gym and eating well for a few weeks or months. Your body is a reflection of your lifestyle. The way you live, the food you eat, the activity that you do. Where you are right now is a reflection of how you have lived over the past years. I am where I am because of years of compounded consistent training and eating well. Don’t be frustrated if you haven’t put in the consistent work, you have to be patient. Take a really good look at your routine. Do you: Train at least 3 times per week with a structured program? Walk daily? Drink lots of water? Eat the right amount of calories for your activity levels? Eat 80% whole food and enough protein? Sleep 7-9 hours every night? And have you done this consistently for months and months? Sometimes if you take a step back and really look at if you are nailing the basics its usually obvious where you are going wrong. Its ok to ask for help, getting help will actually get you results and stop you from spinning around in circles! Yes it takes time Yes it takes discipline But you can still enjoy the process along the way. Let me help you. Let me show you how. If you are ready to change, DM me the word READY, or click the link in my bio to apply.
01.01.2022 I have worked so hard this year, barely taken any days off, missed out on two holidays overseas because of covid! So today I decided to take the day off for Melbourne Cup day and head to the Randwick races with my girls!
