25.01.2022 Cruising into the long weekend like....

24.01.2022 Cloudy with a chance of waves

24.01.2022 I wrote these words a couple of months ago, but today seem more relevant than ever. It’s frustrating having a government which doesn’t have its citizens and the environments best interest at heart. Unless the people rise up and demand change our country will continue to burn until nothing is left but black empty coal pits, scorched earth and the bones of its inhabitants. Where is the outrage? Where are the screams and shouts? Our Mother is burning... Our Children are dying Our Sisters are suffocating in the the greed of money hungry men How can we stand silent and turn our eyes while our brothers are drowning? How is fake money more important than the air we breathe? The water we drink? The land we live on and from? Who cares for the beauty and paradise we have been gifted? Why are we silent to digging up coal for a billionaire’s bank account? Even if it means the destruction of species, coral havens and fish of indescribable diversity and beauty? Never to be seen again for the rest of all time. It’s time for a revolution. Change must happen. We must raise our voices. This only continues because as a society we allow it. Now is the time, because if we don’t, there will be no Earth for our children. There is no Planet B. @flaccoal @stopadanimovement @galileeblockade See more

23.01.2022 Filled my heart to see so many women out at Snapper this morning for @groovegirls first meetup. All abilities, all ages, EVERYONE is welcome! What a beautiful country and community we live in @ Snapper Rocks

22.01.2022 Enjoying these last days on the coast before Koa and I set off on a grand adVanture looking forward to connecting and collaborating with brands and people along the way @ Burleigh, Queensland, Australia

19.01.2022 This lone mangrove tree has survived for over 80 years. A few years ago it was almost destroyed by a cyclone but it managed to survive and has fresh growth coming through.

17.01.2022 Whether you believe in climate change or not these are the facts. While Queensland and much of Australia is reeling from drought, the government has granted Adani a water licence allowing them to take unlimited groundwater, for 60 years, for free. The project risks water resources - rivers, ancient springs, and aquifers of the Great Artesian Basin - which are all vital in times of drought. Adani's mine will:... ~Suck out at least 270 billion litres of groundwater over the life of the mine. ~Risk damaging aquifers of the Great Artesian Basin - the sole water source for much of rural Queensland. ~Dump polluted wastewater into the Carmichael River. ~Threaten the Doongmabulla and Mellaluka ancient springs - 160 wetlands that provide permanent water during drought. The Doongmabulla springs are one of the last pristine desert oases in the world and the most important cultural site for the Wangan and Jagalingou Traditional Owners. Water experts say there's an 80% chance Adani's mine will drain the springs forever.

15.01.2022 3 months ago I posted this first photo looking down at Kirra. No filter, just heavy smoke choking the air. I began the caption with the words today felt a little like Armageddon. And at the time it did, but like every other person standing and watching down on this eery sight I thought to myself the fires would extinguish, the smoke would clear and we would go about our lives. I had no comprehension of the millions of hectares of land that would burn and continues to burn 3... months on, no comprehension of the innumerable animals and brave people who have literally been incinerated, and for the lucky ones that found an escape, lost their homes and a lifetime of memories. I wish I could go back to Kirra hill 3 months ago and shake every single person there and tell them to fight, tell them of the governments inaction and blatant disregard for the life and land lost. Smoke still hangs heavy over the GC and much of Eastern Australia and the hundreds of fires show no sign of stopping with conditions only getting worse. The surfing community have banded together to call out Equinor against drilling in the Great Australian Bight and now it’s time we stand together and call out @siemens and tell them we don’t want them to work on Adani’s planet cooking coal mine. Please call Jeff Connolly from @siemens on 137222 or even just comment on one of their photos saying it’s NOT OK to put profit above people. Let them know it's NOT OK for any company to profit off the destruction of stolen Aboriginal land. It's NOT OK for any company to profit off the destruction of the Great Barrier Reef and risk the 64000+ jobs that rely on it. It's NOT OK for any company to profit off the extinction of a the Black Throat Finch. It's NOT OK for any company, let alone a foreign corporation, to have unlimited access for free for 60 years to one of our last fresh water reserves when we are in the middle of catastrophic fires and drought. We can’t remain silent any longer. If the Government refuse to hold big corporations and their mining mates accountable we must do it. @ Kirra, Queensland

12.01.2022 So many special moments to share from the Rally on Saturday but when @bunyarradubay and the @bunyarra_culture_collective were closing with a song and dance and a pod of Wajung came and danced behind them it was one of those moment that will stay in your mind for a very long. @ Arakwal, Bundjalung Nation

11.01.2022 Continued on from my previous post - other charities you can donate to include @nswrfs @portmacquariekoalahospital and the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund. I encourage everyone to channel your sadness, frustration and anger and get active in your local community group that seeks to make positive change. Protests are happening around the country on Friday the 10th, talk to your friends and family and get involved. It’s not radical to want a safe and healthy environment for you and your children. @ Burleigh, Queensland, Australia

08.01.2022 ‘Fear is a tricky yarn at the moment You can feel it everywhere Just there on the edge of everything - anxiety. So I’ve been focusing on what is in my c...ontrol. Home, my health, my family. Planting seeds, preparing, planning for the future. With change comes new growth and now is the right season for it. I feel like I’ve got time to be a black fulla again. Now that I can be on Country more.’ @bunyarradubay Who has seen the beautiful short film ‘Bunyarra’ which we released last week? Delta Kay takes us on a journey through her experience of the present times. Emotional, raw and beautiful. We hope you all loved it as much as we do. If you haven’t seen it you can find it in our IGTV or on our Facebook page. Share it around with your community. 05.01.2022 Grateful for all the beautiful moments this life brings

05.01.2022 It’s difficult to express the heartache, grief and anger we are experiencing right now. The loss of life of our precious wildlife is truly devastating. Our government has not even mentioned the millions of animals gone forever, or the ones that will perish due to habitat loss and dried up waterways. Looking through photos from a road trip I did exactly a year ago through many of the places which have been destroyed makes me cry. It’s horrifying watching on as these breathtakingly beautiful places and animals are turned to ash. I hope these photos bring hope for a better day and if you’re looking for an animal rescue to donate to @wireswildliferescue is a great place to start. Every dollar helps @ Blue Mountains
