20.01.2022 As a Health Coach I'm trained to guide and support individuals to achieve their health and well-being goals. I help people shift from feeling stuck in a health rut, to feeling fabulous again. Some people find staying healthy simple. But for many people, finding the right formula of nutrition and lifestyle to keep them feeling healthy and energised is more challenging.... In a 2019 survey more than 50% of Australians reported that they would benefit from more information about healthy eating and nutrition. But with so much information available, how is it so many of us still feel uninformed? I believe a large part of the problem lies in the volume of conflicting information that bombards us constantly. * Should you follow the food pyramid? * Or the CSIRO diet? * Or be paleo? * Keto? * Low fat or low carb? * High protein? * Vegetarian, vegan? * Sugar free? * But what about fruit? * Are you eating too much, or too little? * Or could your macros be wrong? * Should you eat for your body type or your blood type? * Or could you have a food intolerance? * Or is it your thyroid? * Or your gut bacteria? * Or maybe stress is affecting your metabolism? WHOA! IT'S CONFUSING AND OVERWHELMING!! There is a solution though. As a Holistic Health Coach, trained by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I focus on what we call Bio-Individuality. We need to find out what is right for you, as an individual. There is no one way of eating and moving that is best for everyone. Through my personalised programs my clients find out what is keeping them from feeling healthy and energised, and are coached through the nutrition and lifestyle changes required to have them feeling great again. Overcome weight problems, fatigue and other chronic conditions through nutrition and lifestyle changes that will give you a new lease on life! Wondering if you could benefit from the help of a Health Coach? Message me so we can line up a free initial consultation!

18.01.2022 Our habits determine our life. When simply surviving isn't enough, when we are ready to take action to truly make life one that we love and deserve, we can't rely on the same old habits that have served us to this point. To upgrade your life, you must upgrade your habits. Need help? Get in touch!... . . . See more
17.01.2022 The humble garlic has been proven to have incredible medicinal properties. It has powerful antibiotic properties, and helps to protect your heart lower blood pressure and cholesterol... reduces the risk of some cancers. Garlic is also considered thyroid-friendly because it supports blood-sugar metabolism and can fight inflammation. Garlic is most beneficial when eaten raw. A few great ways to do this is to add raw garlic to: homemade salad dressings butter for garlic toast a homemade pesto a homemade guacamole a bruschetta topping homemade dips homemade aioli Do you have other ways you incorporate raw garlic? . . 09.01.2022 I have a 7-word question for you today. It’s short, sweet, and asking it will help you finish the year feeling strong and in control. Even better, it will help you build momentum into 2021. ... Here it is ... EVERY TIME you are faced with a temptation that will pull you off track with your health and fitness goals, ask yourself: How will this make you feel tomorrow? At some point this month you’re going to be tempted to put your goals on hold. DON’T DO IT. It’s SO MUCH EASIER to stay on-track than it is to get BACK on track. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. I have never met a person who was happy about retracing their steps. This doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your holiday favorites just be intentional about it. Skip the grocery store cookie and have an apple or some nuts instead. But definitely enjoy your family’s secret recipe holiday treats and traditions! If you don’t have time for your normal workout, do a quick 10-minute routine. Doing some squats and push-ups (or whatever exercises you choose) before your morning shower will go a long way toward keeping up your healthy habits. Keep up with your sleep and self-care routines. This will help you avoid feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Block off some intentional time to unplug, relax, and refocus. Personally, I want to start 2021 feeling energized and plan on making it an amazing year. How are going to finish strong for 2020? .. See more
09.01.2022 Does your 2021 have a theme? I don't go much for new years resolutions, but I find that at the beginning of each year a new, overarching "theme" for the year tends to reveal itself in some way. So this morning I did a brief meditation on my balcony. As I opened my eyes, there was a butterfly, just like the one pictured, fluttering only half a metre in front of my eyes. It landed about a metre from where I was sitting and just sat ther...e for about 30 seconds. I felt like we were watching each other, having a moment together, just the butterfly and me, and then it flew a couple of metres away, and then off it went on it's day. The butterfly can symbolise spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope and life. "Spiritual rebirth, transformation and change" feels like this year's theme for me. I don't know exactly what that means in detail, but it's OK, I will be guided. Do you have a theme, or goal, or resolutions or something for the new year? Share below, I'd love to know what they are... See more
07.01.2022 EASY HEALTH HACK Did you know drinking lemon water can help you absorb more micronutrients from the foods you eat?! This is one of my favorite hacks because it’s easy, cheap, and delicious plus it takes almost NO time to prepare.... There’s a lot of other reasons to drink it, too... It can help you absorb more micronutrients out of each meal It helps jumpstart your digestion It’s loaded with vitamin C It helps promote weight loss You can give it a try by mixing 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice in 1 cup (240 ml) of water 10-15 minutes before your meal. If possible, use a paper straw when you drink lemon water to protect your tooth enamel, or just rinse your mouth with plain, fresh water afterwards. Tag a friend in the comments to help them get in on this health hack!
07.01.2022 Try this recipe! Also inside this month's full recipe pack. What you need: 2 tbsp. tamari or soy sauce 2 tbsp. rice wine vinegar ... 1 tbsp. sesame oil 2 tsp. coconut sugar 12 oz. (340g) chicken breast, cut into strips 2 tbsp. ginger, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 3 tbsp. olive oil 8 oz. (230g) bok choy, trimmed and sliced 2 leeks, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced 1 cup (30g) bean sprouts tsp. chili flakes salt and pepper What to do: In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar. Pour half the mixture over the chicken, along with half the ginger and half the garlic. Let the chicken sit for 20 minutes to marinate. Heat a large pan over high heat, add 1 teaspoon of olive oil to the pan and add the chicken. Cook, stirring constantly, for about 3 minutes, then remove the chicken from the pan and transfer onto a plate. Set aside. Add the remaining olive oil to the pan. Add the bok choy and cook 1 minute. Then add in the leeks, bean sprouts and chili flakes. Cook, for a further minute until the bok choy and leeks are tender. Stir in the rest of the marinade and season with salt. Move the vegetables to one side of the pan. Add the remaining ginger and garlic to the centre of the pan and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant. Return the chicken to the pan and combine with the rest of the ingredients. Heat for 1 furthermore minute and then take off the heat. Serve immediately.
