08.01.2022 Every day there is another reason to be alarmed about the lack of protection of our beloved environment. We need a Labor government federally to reform the rules to actually protect the flora and fauna. "The widespread loss of habitat means the regent honeyeater has been reduced to its last 200-400 individuals spread over 300,000 square kilometres ranging from Queensland to Victoria. The birds are apparently changing their birdsong. In some cases, they are forgetting their song entirely and instead adopting the calls of other species, the researchers found."

Hunter Jobs Alliance, of which LEAN is a member, is committed to brining people of the region together, not ripping them apart and finding pathways to work together to solve the challenge of a changing global energy mix.
