16.01.2022 DEADLIFT DAY: Easy 1’s with @brianna_pitt Its fun to have a little inter-squad competition Today we warmed up until a heavy-ish but easy-ish 1 and then did 5 sets on the 3min. Bri did her 5 sets @ 140kg ... I did mine @ 180kg Bri and I have agreed that my lower body numbers should be 1.5x hers and upper body 2x hers so today I got my ass handed to me See more
08.01.2022 Easy 1’s...Training 1’s doesn’t always have to be a ball busting, gut wrenching grind (although that is a relevant prescription at times!) The last program was fairly high volume (6 sets of 6)so this program we are dropping the reps’s to 1’s (5 sets) and the RPE to a 7-8/10. This relates to about 2-3 ‘Reps in Reserve’. It also gives you a chance to work through niggles and improve technique. You can also add load in a Linear Progression. 01.01.2022 Usually I do my weekly cardio session on Saturday with Soultrain but this morning they were strength testing. We were lifting on the clock so it felt like Cardio but I was still too slow to get up to my weights for a PB attempt. Deadlift- 210kg. After my last warm up at 180kg I jumped to 210kg. It was too big of a jump and I made it look heavy Bench Press- 130kg. This was my last warm up set. I opened my account at 140kg (and failed) ... Squat- 160kg. This was easy but i ran out of time to do more. Chins were calling. Chin Ups- I wanted 20 but ran out of juice. Thanks Erin OseiBilly Telfer Emma Howlett For a fun session
