25.01.2022 Today I took some time off and went and did something for myself. After another monster headache on Saturday which killed my weekend I was happy to leave my work behind this afternoon and head out to get myself some edu-ma-cation. I did week one of Monday Clay Club with @jadeleespaveyartist over at the @_creativemakes_ studio and it was so nice to be the student for a change. I made three pinch pots - one of them has legs! It is important to slow down every now and then and... do things a little more slowly, and I found out that making things out of clay is a great way to slow down. I will show you stage two next week * * * * * #leanneallisondesigns #learnsomethingnew #potwithlegs #mondayclayclub #jadeleespaveyartist #creativemakesworkshops #workingwithclay #morningtonpeninsulahandmade #morningtonpeninsulaartist See more
24.01.2022 I now have two printables available I completed my 10,000 Steps a Day Goal Tracker last week and finally got it uploaded to my site alongside my super cute native plants bingo sheet. I love goal trackers, I am such a sucker for them. I get a little thrill each time I can colour in a segment and get another step closer to my goal. Because I can be quite sedentary during the day, sitting at my jewellery bench or art table or working on my laptop, I aim to do 10,000 steps a d...ay. I exercise each day and do quite a few steps incidental steps but by having a 10,000 goal it makes me get up and move more often. Do you track your steps? Do you exercise on a regular basis? Do you use other goal trackers? I am working on a money tracker now, one that can be used to track a savings goal. I will let you know when it is done. In the meantime, if you are interested in my step tracker or my native plants bingo sheet they are both available in my web store. * * * * * #leanneallisondesigns #bingosheet #steptracker #10000steps #10000stepsaday #goaltracker #printabletracker #trackyoursteps #morningtonpeninsulaartist #morningtonpeninsulamade
20.01.2022 Today is my Dad’s 70th birthday. We are in lockdown so I can’t celebrate with him but I did manage a drive by to drop off an awesome Darth Vader balloon
19.01.2022 These pieces are the only art I have managed to complete in the last four weeks. I have been trying to create some new pieces for a project I am working on but my headaches have made that difficult. I had a mild headache on Sunday and a severe one on Tuesday that lead to me having to cancel all my coaching appointments and staying in bed. Today I finally got some good news... and some relief. I saw a physio today and I have been diagnosed with cervicogenic headaches. I had so...me treatment and Clinton the physio gave me some exercises to do and hopefully we can have them sorted in about three weeks. It is so good to finally have some answers! Once I have done my coaching calls for the week and rescheduled the others I can finally make some art! * * * * #leanneallisondesigns #watercolourbotanicals #watercolourart #australiannativewatercolour #morningtonpeninsulaartist #watercolourpainting See more
18.01.2022 This is Poppy. I created her for the @makeartthatsells Illustrating Children’s Books course. Her face and head are based on some of the Mid Century style children’s books with her beady eyes and u-shaped smile. She never manages to pull her socks up properly and she only likes to paint in purple. We were given a choice of texts to use to build our character and I chose ‘I Paint Purple’. Once I had finished painting her I decided she looked like her name would be Poppy so that is who she will be from now on
16.01.2022 Edited to add: I can do sessions via Zoom so you don't need to be in the same state as me or even the same country! As many of you know I am currently completing my coaching qualification and I plan to run a coaching business alongside my wonderful handmade business. I only have a handful of practice hours to go before I will start offering paid sessions so I am offering three people the chance to have three one hour sessions with me.... totally free! If you are interested ...in booking a session just drop me a message and I will send you a link to my calendar. I can coach you on a life, business or prosperity goal. Below is a little bit of information about what coaching is and what it is not. What is coaching? Coaching is quite different from consulting, mentoring or counselling. The coaching process addresses specific personal goals and these goals may be oriented towards business or career, relationships, family, personal matters, well-being or life balance. I help you identify your goals and develop an actionable plan to achieve them. Once you are clear on what you want to achieve, and what is hindering your progress, together we design actions that will help to get you closer to your vision. I am there to support you and hold you accountable on your journey of growth and creation. I am not a mentor or a consultant, I 'coach' you towards your goal, but I may also have external resources that can help you on your journey. My new website and Instagram/Facebook pages for @creativegrowthcoaching should be live by the end of the week! Sent via @planoly #planoly See more
16.01.2022 I have been going back to basics this week. I haven't made plain bangles for quite sometime but I decided it was time to add them back into my range (partly because I love making them!). I make all my bangles in an oval shape - both the bangles I sell and the bangles I wear. The first bangle I ever made was in one of @janeruljancichjewellery classes and it was an oval shape. I loved the shape so much I went and bought myself an oval bangle mandrel and never looked back. I am... hoping to have a few different styles in my online stores by the end of next week and I have a few designs in mind so stay tuned * * * * #leanneallisondesigns #sterlingsilverbangles #sterlingsilverjewellery #ecofriendlysilverjewellery #ecofriendly #ecofriendlysilver #jewellerydesigner #morningtonpeninsulahandmade #handmade See more
15.01.2022 A few more sterling silver and sea glass pieces. I have been trying to use up my stash of glass and create some more one of a kind pieces. I will have some reproducible pieces that I will be adding to my range soon, but for the moment I am enjoying making a range of one off designs. Are you a sucker for a one off piece?
14.01.2022 A couple of eco friendly silver wedding rings on the bench today. They are both men’s rings but one is a thicker band and the other is a narrower width. Also, one will have a brushed finish and the other one will be highly polished. I love the simplicity of a silver wedding band * * *... #leanneallisondesigns #silverrings #ecosilver #ecofriendlywedding #ecofriendlyweddingring #melbournemade #silverweddingring See more

14.01.2022 I have 10% off all my stock at HomeGrown in Sunbury until Christmas eve. Make sure you pop in and say hello to the ladies and grab yourself some handmade goodness at a 10% discount!
13.01.2022 This is one of two rings going out in the mail today. It is a simple sterling silver mens ring with a matte finish. I often sell these as wedding rings but this one will just be an everyday ring for a gentleman who wanted to update his stainless steel ring to a sterling silver one. I love the look of the matte finish, it is probably my favourite finish of all. I love how simple and sleek it is but it also has a more natural and organic look than highly polished silver. Which do you prefer, matte or polished?
13.01.2022 If you are looking for some awesome handmade items, HomeGrown Gifts in Sunbury are currently having an online market. There are products from tons of different makers, just have a browse through the albums and comment 'SOLD' on any items that you would like to buy. HomeGrown Gifts will then post it to you or drop it off if you are in the local Sunbury area
12.01.2022 Oooh, some of my sea glass pieces have been featured by HomeGrown Gifts
12.01.2022 My assignment for the Make Art That Sells Bootcamp this month was to create a paisley that could be used as a puzzle. We started with black and white paisley as a bit of a practice run and then we created our coloured versions and added them to the gallery. This is my 'Paisley Peacock'. Do you like him? I think he would make a great greeting card as well as a puzzle. If you want to see all the other paisleys then you can check out the gallery here http://bit.ly/3bMqrDz #MATSBootcamp2020
11.01.2022 One of my gorgeous new cards printed on handmade paper that contains basil seeds. Once the recipient has enjoyed the card they can soak it in water and then plant it! Eco friendly and super cute! I made up this pack for my sister in law for her birthday. It also included a rose, goat's milk and salt bath bag and a rose lotion bar. It smelled delicious I will be adding the cards and their handmade recycled envelopes to my store in the next few days * * *... * #leanneallisondesigns #seededgreetingcards #watercolourpainting #watercolorandink #watercolourtart #watercolourcard #ecofriendly #australiannativewatercolour #limeanddandelion #roselotionbar #ecofriendlygift #handmadegift #handmadecard #morningtonpeninsulapainted #morningtonpeninsulahandmade See more

08.01.2022 Organic circle earrings! These beauties are finally available on the Leanne Allison Designs website and they will be added to my Etsy store over the weekend too. Each pair is handcrafted to order from 100% recycled sterling silver so they may differ slightly from the pair in the photograph due to the nature of handmade. After soldering the circles I bend and mould them to give them an organic shape. When I made the first pair I soldered the wires to the circles but t...hen I realised that I wanted the circles to move so that the earrings were more fluid. I wanted to have them up on the website yesterday afternoon and had set aside time to edit the photos and upload them. After spending a morning with Mary from @happyplacesandco and a bunch of other wonderful ladies who commented on how lovely my earrings were, I wanted to open up orders as soon as possible. On the way home I heard that Melbourne was about to go into a snap 5 day lockdown so I had to rearrange my afternoon and evening and get 5 days worth of errands squeezed into 5 hours! Thankfully the photos are now edited, the description is written and the earrings are up on the website, albeit 24 hours later than I hoped https://www.leanneallisondesigns.com.au//Recycled-Sterling
07.01.2022 During isolation I have been doing some planning, some thinking and some evaluating. It has taken me quite a while to type this post because I didn't know what to say but then I decided to just be totally honest. After quite a bit of deliberation and talking it over with a few people I have decided that I will no longer be doing workshops or markets. There are a number of reasons for my decision and I feel comfortable that it is the right one. First of all, I want to start... doing things for myself again. I have spent the last 9 years working weekends and during isolation I realised how much time I had missed out on with family and friends or doing things I loved. I finally got back to a couple of my hobbies last month, things I haven't done for over a year (one of them might even be four years ago!), and I realised how much I missed them. And I would love to participate in someone elses workshops for a change, learn some new things, have someone else teach me. I want to go to markets as a shopper. I will miss my market friends but I look forward to being able to chat to them without having to worry about my own stall. I will not miss having to pack to my car to the rafters and I will not miss freezing cold mornings or blazing hot afternoons (I once did a market and it was -1 degrees!) I also have quite a bit of other stuff going on at the moment too. I have an art course I am completing, I am practicing some new jewellery techniques, creating some new lines featuring my art and a bunch of other things. Some of you know that I am also completing my coaching qualification so I can be a life, business and prosperity coach, and I am finally up to the part in my coaching course where I can do some practice coaching, I have been having some headaches too which have been knocking me out. I am working with a couple of people to try and sort them out so I also need to take some time for my own health. Onwards and Upwards! If you want to learn to make jewellery and want an awesome teacher that knows her stuff then make sure you book a class with @sarahmunnings She will look after you and you will go home with some awesome pieces Sent via @planoly #planoly

02.01.2022 I treated myself to some jonquils. I wanted something to cheer me up and brighten my workroom and these little beauties hit the spot. I have been a bit quiet lately for three reasons.... I have had a few headaches in the last few days, I have been working hard on my coaching modules (I will be putting the call out for people to practice on in the next day or so), and, to be honest, I have been avoiding social media. Please be kind to each other, treat each other with respect ...and remember that we are all dealing with ‘stuff’ at the moment. * * * * #leanneallisondesigns #morningtonpeninsulaartist #freshflowers See more
02.01.2022 Product photo day! I need to update some of my product photos and take some photos of some new pieces. I managed to take a few shots before the wind whipped up and I got too cold. Note to self: It's about time I sorted out my studio lighting situation so I can take shots next to my heater * * * *... #leanneallisondesigns #productphotos #ecofriendly #ecofriendlysilverjewellery #handmadejewellery #melbournemaker See more
02.01.2022 That's right! I am separating my art business from my jewellery business because they are taking different paths and I don't feel they are compatible anymore. So you can still find my jewellery here at Leanne Allison Designs but if you are also interested in my art (or only interested in my art ) the follow me over at @limeanddandelion. My art was feeling more and more disconnected from my jewellery and I was feeling like I was talking to two totally separate groups so I d...ecided that they needed a divorce. I have some new jewellery pieces that I am currently working on so if you are interested then hang around and stay tuned. If you want to see more of my art and the assignments I am currently working on then pop over to Lime and Dandelion and say hi! * * * * #leanneallisondesigns #limeanddandelion Sent via @planoly #planoly See more
