25.01.2022 My collaboration with Eric at Haus of Hof Hair By Eric and his beautiful sister Katie who is the face of Haus of Hof.

22.01.2022 Had a great afternoon (before the world got a little crazy) practicing strobe lighting techniques with Peter. We set up in his surgery's waiting room. Which was well lit but a little confined for space. We were both really happy with what we were able to achieve. Our goal was to produce low key, high contrast images. Thanks to two amazing and beautiful girls, Rachael and Nicole for their patience and interest. Rachael even had a go behind the camera as well. This image of Rachael was shot with one side strobe (beauty dish & grid) and one bare bulb back light. [1/200 sec, f16, ISO 100, 200mm (EF70-200mm lens), Canon 1DX] Einstein Strobes used.

16.01.2022 Being the Mother of the Bride and the photographer was well..... hectic! I spent a large part of the day 'second guessing myself, where normally it is just automatic and seamless' I did stop to soak it in and be a mum during the ceremony and also stopped being the photographer at our small, informal but intimate wedding dinner.... But for the two that mattered, Clare and Daniel, it was relaxed and joyous. Jacob and Elizabeth were just as relaxed and happy as Daniel and Clare as it all should be. A huge thank you to Richard Haines - I. could. not. have. done. this. without. you! (His patience, good humour and images are outstanding and I will certainly tag the images he captured for me soon) For Clare and Dan, this image summed up their emotions and their day. When I look at this I know that all is right with the world.

15.01.2022 A ridiculously hectic life at the moment is making it difficult to create some timely posts, but hopefully that will change soon! Regardless I was fortunate to be part of capturing the important milestones for some wonderful young people recently with both Assumption and Warwick State High School hosting their Year 12 Formals last week. 07.01.2022 'When people lift you up!' Kori at HYBRID -Strength and Fitness is coaching clients to be the best versions of themselves. I managed to get an amazing series of images of one of Kori's clients, to celebrate an important milestone in her own fitness journey.... A darkened gym with a high skylight and off camera flashes and reflectors were used to create this image. (With me on a high box!) (Lucky for Kori we only took a few takes to nail this shot!) 07.01.2022 Product photography often is just about the product itself with no background or environmental styling. Images that often work best for online shopping promotions usually have the product isolated on a seamless white background with a large area of light being reflected back onto the item. This can't be achieved with normal 'natural light conditions'. Strobes, (studio flash lights) are needed with a studio box arrangement to 'bounce' the light completely around the product. ...If you are looking for an AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) accredited photographer on the Downs, like and follow my page. 03.01.2022 The magic of lighting! These two images were taken in the exactly the same spot. The high key image of Nicole was a result of turning the backlight towards the wall instead of at the subject, as in the image of Rachael. The side light was also switched over to the opposing side.

03.01.2022 It has been a very hectic couple of weekends. Last weekend was spent with my amazing friend and hair stylist, Eric and a beautiful group of crazy, creative and fiercely individual people. We all came together to celebrate this individuality, and take part in Eric's new Spring 'BeYou' promotion. Studio strobes were required to light this series. Thank heavens for portable power packs!!
