01.01.2022 Should you avoid carbs after 6pm? Carbs don’t make you gain fat, and the silly myth that eating carbs after 6pm will make you fat is also nonsense. The time of day you eat carbs makes no difference whatsoever to your weight. Whether the calories come from protein, fat or carbs, it is the excess calories that are to blame for weight gain. Carbohydrates are the body's main source of energy. Your body needs to be refuelled after you train, regardless of the time. ... Bottom line.. It's what you eat and how much that matters most, not when.
