11.01.2022 What are Social Stories? Social stories explain social situations, so a person knows what to expect when interacting with new people or environment. We have created video and paper versions that have been a very useful tool to support our new dancers. Our social Stories help new students become familiar with the environment they will be dancing in, the people they will meet and class routine. Join us each Tuesday during term 4 as we share some ideas about how Leap into Dance uses different ways of communication, so we can help your child access dance classes through our program. Sister and I ran some personal errands, and we appreciated the patience people displayed after we showed them our cards and they accommodated our needs. Here's our tip, make your own card, it will help you. And remember you are a valued member of society too!
