22.01.2022 10/7/19 continuing on from yesterdays cubby house making, the children made another cubby house but this time they used a large blanket and pulled it over the chairs. Outside this afternoon Isabella and Zayn used the long rope to balance on. They stepped on the stepping stones then continued on to balance across the rope all the way to the end. Later in the afternoon Zayn did some quiet drawing, when I asked him what he wanted to draw he said a dinosaur. For inspiration I put a toy dinosaur informs of Zayn. He then through drawing interpreted a dinosaur.

21.01.2022 16/8 /19 utilising the pasta activity from yesterday, today the children had a new task. Using the colour cups and tongs the children were able to separate and identify those colours.



19.01.2022 Feeling the love and appreciation from my beautiful families as it comes to the end of my last week doing family day care.. i have cherished every single moment building relationships with all of the children and the families. I promised myself I wouldnt cry but its been hard to hold back the tears as I remember the beautiful moments I have had over the years with my babies. Thank you to all my families who have supported myself and my son over the past few years I honestly couldnt have built such an amazing environment without you all. You are all family

18.01.2022 19/8/19 Pre writing skills are being strengthened during name tracing and using scissors. Children’s fine motor development and have eye coordination are also being used during this activity.

18.01.2022 9/8/19 what an amazing morning we had at the @cobbandcomuseum this morning, they held a fantastic program have another look caption cook which allowed children to experience aboriginal culture first hand. We watching a beautiful smoking ceremony to start the day off, then went around to activities and displays which the children were able to hands on experience.

17.01.2022 20/8/19 we enjoyed our morning at story time at the Toowoomba city library. The theme of the stories was cats the children listened to various stories based on cats and enjoyed a craft activity at the end of the session.

15.01.2022 28/8/19 the children are building confidence and developing those gross motor development each week at our kindergym sessions.

15.01.2022 9/7/19 Lincoln built a small track for his trains, he enjoyed rolling the train down the ramp he made. 1,2,3 GO we both said together before the train whooshed down the track. Conor, Evie And Zayn made a small cubby under the table, it was getting a bit squishy so they pulled some chairs together and had a picnic with the pretend food.

10.01.2022 The children have been finding lady beetles in the yard lately which has sparked an ongoing interest towards the lady beetles. To support this new interest we have been engaging in activities which bakes the children to explore more about the lady bugs.

10.01.2022 30/7/19 what a beautiful day it was outside with the sun shinning! Willow,Zayn and Evie made soup with grass, sand and water. Mixing it all together with wooden sticks. The children also got creative with brush painting, willow painted her mum, Evie painted her sister and Zayn painted a spider.

09.01.2022 27/8/19 Lincoln showed persistence building this very tall tower with LEGO, at times the tower kept falling over as it got higher, Lincoln re made it and tried to make it higher each time.

09.01.2022 4/7/19 {drum painting} To support Myras interest in making music/drumming, I set out a painting experience for the children for them to explore painting with drum sticks. The children banged on the piece of paper using drum sticks while drumming the paint on the paper.

08.01.2022 This week I had to decide to close for the week, after my son falling very ill with the flu. I would like to thank all my families for understanding! 07.01.2022 15/7/19 {empty and full} supporting childrens interest: I have noticed over the past weeks Myra has enjoyed emptying and then filling up buckets with objects. This pasta activity is all about using the scoop or hands to fill the jars up. Motor development is being used and also mathematical thinking. Is the jar full or empty? Myra uses the scoops to transfer the pasta into the jars.

07.01.2022 26/7/19 This weeks emerging interest is making soup with grass, sand and water. Zayn collected lots of grass and ripped it up to fit in the bowl, Myra enjoyed mixing the water and sand with the wooden stick. Over at the cubby house Zayn and willow found a lady beetle! They observed the beetle as it crawled along the beam. Willow put her finger out and the beetle crawled on her arm.

07.01.2022 19/8/19 {book week-the tiger who came to tea} this story is a favourite with the children. To support the childrens interest I set out a role play area for the children to broaden their imaginations. Willow and Isabella both used the toy tigers to replay the story. Zayn smelt the tea bags, he pretended to dip the tea bag in the coffee cup and poured me a cup of tea.

07.01.2022 21/8/19 todays kindergym session at Glennie gym. We absolutely love these sessions as its a great way to build confidence and gross motor development.

06.01.2022 29/8/19 The children enjoyed various activities today, they spent a large amount of time building with LEGO. Evie and master M explored shells. Together they searched different shapes of shells, different textures and colours. They used the shells to make prints in the play dough.

06.01.2022 30/8/19 pre writing development for the children, this activity also supports name recognition and fine motor development. Creative minds were active through play dough, the children used various natural items to create something of their choice.

06.01.2022 8/7/19 Isabella enjoyed exploring the magnet table, she was very surprised when the magnet was picking up objects! We used the magnet to try and pick up other objects in the rice to see what was magnetic and what wasnt but only the bolts and washers were magnetic. After sleep time we all joined together and decorated a cake zayns mum brought in as it was zayns birthday on Sunday. Thanks for the yummy cake!

05.01.2022 Who doesnt love water play on a warm day! As we have been focussing under the sea this week we thought it would be great to incorporate sea animals and shells in water. Some children preferred to watch the water instead of playing in the water

03.01.2022 22/7/19 Inside today we used play dough and natural recourses to make self portraits, we discussed prior what kind of features we needed to put on the dough to create our faces. Outside this afternoon the children found a lady beetle, watching closely the children observed the beetles colours and spots.

02.01.2022 1/7/19 Myra and Zayn exploring at the rice table, Myra picked up the rings and used them to scoop the rice. Zayn was matching the small letters in the rice to the large puzzles.

01.01.2022 29/7/19 what a beautiful day it was outside, the children enjoyed mixing grass, sand and water together to make soup. Isabella requested painting this morning, to support her interest I set out finger painting. The children very much enjoyed squishing their fingers in the gooey paint!
