18.01.2022 Hi my name is Kate, I grew up in China and have completed high school in China. I have been in Australia for twelve years and completed my tertiary education in Sydney and Perth. With Chinese proficiency and passion in teaching, I am offering to teach Chinese (Mandarin) to children and adults who are interested in Chineses language and culture in my free time. I have one-year part-time experience of teaching a group of children Chinese. I have textbooks and other teaching ma...terials. I have work with children card. Course structure: Adult course will be systematically structured based on Boya Chinese text books, starting from elementary level, the teaching will aim for daily communication and literacy. I will cover phenolic transcription, grammar and tone training in the class to assist comprehension and your ability of self learning in the future. To ensure quality of teaching, all content will be delivered in tutorial form with a maximum of two students in each tutorial. $50 per 1h lesson for one-on-one tutorial, $30 each student for two-students tutorials. Children’s course will be more flexible in content and fun in delivery compared with the adult course. Children will l learn numbers, common objects and daily conversations in a game-based teaching. A maximum of four children in each class. $30 per kid per lesson, or $20 per kid for a class of more than 3 children. Hours available: flexible, by appointment.
