24.01.2022 We are very excited to announce that we will be back on deck running workshops very soon! Over the last month or so we have been busy creating video content mainly focused on editing in lightroom. Over the next week we are going to share a range of short tutorials that Tim has created to give you a head start when using Adobe Lightroom!... 18.01.2022 At our Camera 101 workshop we talk about shutter speed and how it affects our photos. This set of images shows a range of shutter speeds, starting at the top left we have 3 minutes, 2 minutes, 2.5 seconds and 1.3 seconds. As you can see there is a fair bit of difference between the end products. To get the long 1 minute plus exposures a neutral density filter is used which cuts out a lot of light. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!

16.01.2022 While we are staying at home I am trying to head into our yard and take some photos of different things each day. I will try to post a daily photo from our yard and please feel free to share images from yours. If you have a chance head outside and spend some time looking around for an interesting subject. Once you find it think about ways to highlight the subject and remove distractions. With this photo I have focussed on the head of the insect and used it’s legs to draw the viewer into the image. In composition terms this is called leading lines, when you take your next photo have a look around and see how you can introduce this method into your photo and share an example below you don’t need a fancy camera, your phone will do
