15.01.2022 We talk a lot about ableism within the chronic illness and disability community, but there's very little awareness in the outside world. So what is ableism exactly? It can be described as the discrimination of and prejudice against people with disabilities. Ableism comes in all shapes and sizes, and is not just obvious discrimination of disabled people. It can also be subtle prejudices that are more difficult to identify. Ableism exists on both a structural level and is int...ernalised in most individuals. Even people with who're living with disabilities often struggle with internalised ableism. Our societies are not designed for disabled people and that again affects hos W we, on a personal level, look at disability. What we need to realise is that disabilitiy itself is not the problem. The problem is how disabilities are viewed and how poeple with disabilities are treated. And that is what we need to work towards changing.

05.01.2022 Today is Internal Day of People with Disability. The Theme for this year is Seeing the Ability in Disability. Lets all work together towards a world that is accessible.
