23.01.2022 I have no photos or video to show, but this morning I had two amazing classes. 9 am was Puppy Preschool final week, the improvement, the joy and the dedication of these teams was so wonderful. The puppies were calm on their beds, brave and confident on the little obstacle course, happy to play with their humans and respond to requests. I will miss you all, it was fun getting to know you and help you all. 10.30 am was Puppy Highschool, Oh my goodness, I had so much fun. The 5... teams were just amazing, such great owners open to learning how to create better relationships and communication with their young dogs with out force or intimidation. All teams worked on relaxing on a station, learning about how their dog copes with novelty and how they can help them, using play as a reinforcer and some great discussion about how you do not need to walk your dog every day, especially if the walks are stressful for you or your dog, there are other activities or options available. Thank you to all in these classes this morning, you make my job a pleasure and joy. Cheers Karen

21.01.2022 Scooter had a big day today, several in-home therapy dog visits, a trip to the post office where he got some more loving and made people smile and lastly he accompanied me to the doctors to get a little thing burnt of my hand. So funny, he thought he was still working and when the doc sat down he went and put his head in her lap, so cute!!! Good boy Scooter, you are priceless buddy!!!

21.01.2022 Our sweet little ray of Sun Shine came to the nursing home with me today, just 6 months old!!!

19.01.2022 What a fun crazy afternoon of social activity for both dogs and humans it was this afternoon. Such an amazing bunch of happy well balanced confident and friently doggo's. You have all done an exceptionally job of raisning and training your dogs, it was such a pleasure hanging with you all this arvo.

18.01.2022 A massive day for the LOL team today, we started with a private lesson with the handsome Banjo here at our training facility. Banjo gets a little excited about some Utes so we are working on building skills in both Banjo and his human to help him change his emotional response from excited to calm. Next up was the cute but persistent Miss Fergie at her home. We had to do some logistics thinking but we got there and have given the demanding little girl some jobs to do in the... mornings to keep her busy and thinking. Then it was of to the Nursing Home to visit some friends and today was Abbey's turn. She was so good, did some trick and had a sing song with Pat. To end the day I did some jobs in town and picked up a parcel from the post office, OMG, it was a beautiful bottle of Adelaide Gin from a lovely dog trainer I have been helping out a little, what a gift, her friendship is enough of a gift but I am not complaining about the Gin!!! I am feeling very blessed tonight.

18.01.2022 Scooter and I have had a busy day, first of we visited the residents at the Nursing Home, then it was of to do some jobs while in town and to finish the day of Scooter helped Hanzo see that other dogs can mean great stuff happens. Good job Scooter!!!

17.01.2022 It is way to hot for classes today, so what do you do??? I packed Bazil up in the car and went to the Nursing Home, funny little poppet he is, he was such a good little boy and they loved him.

16.01.2022 What a fun day at the Nursing Home today, Scooter helped out at the physiotherapy session taking turns with the residents stepping on and off the step. After that it was a quick game of Bingo that had us all in fits of laughter, super special day!! Good work buddy!!!

13.01.2022 Oh my Goodness, it has been such a busy week at Learners on Lead I haven't even had time to post any of the fun activities we have been up to. Here is our schedule for this weekend and week.

12.01.2022 Well the weather was better than expected this morning and we got is a good session of Agility. I love the photo of some of the dogs just hanging on their stations watching the second photo of their humans walking the course. Sorry I didn't get photos of everyone this morning. After class we all headed down to the dam to let the dogs cool off and have a swim, great morning. Thanks all, some great stuff this morning.

12.01.2022 Saturday afternoon Level 2 Nose Work Class, not many photos, sorry. In this session we concentrated mainly on lead handling. The lead handling of the human part of the team can sometimes make or break a search so today we looked at the human side of the team sharpening these skills. You all did such a great job with your leads, it was super to watch.

11.01.2022 Another fun morning of Agility with the gang at learners on Lead Dog Sports and Pet Dog Training, so much good stuff happening, you all rock. So so happy!

11.01.2022 Absolutely a beautiful morning at Agility today. We started our new format with some teams joining us that have just completed the intro to Agility. This was so much fun and everyone did so well, just a great session.

09.01.2022 What fun and awarness we all had last night at class. An exercise that gave us all different information about our dogs and some little struggles they were having. Through calm and thoughtful training each dog over came their little stuggles and became braver and smarter. We done teams, you are all so amazing.

05.01.2022 Miss Shine is really coming along with her tracking. I ran a little track today and Justine handled Shine. I was super happy with how she went, almost followed me step for step. She is only 6 months old, just awesome!!!Thanks Min for videoing.

02.01.2022 Today we got to practice the Cooperative Care Training we have been doing with Scooter for a Blood Draw. It may look like I am restraining him but he does have choice. I ask for him to come between my legs and to do a high chin target with a hold. It was so easy, he also had a xray which was done with ease but I could not film that one. We will be offering a Canine Cooperative Care short couse in the near future. It makes it so much easier for all involved, the Vet, the dog and the owner when it becomes as easy as this. Thanks Dr Lydia for today and for your support and encouragement to do this.

02.01.2022 This weeks class schedule at Learners on Lead Dog Sports and Pet Dog Training.

01.01.2022 So today wasn't all work, we also managed to slip in a bit of relaxed low key training. Wilfred the little hound. Shiny Shine. Charismatic Kingsley. Hurricane Hudson!!

01.01.2022 Franklin, Chilli and Cooper at Social Class on Sunday.
