24.01.2022 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the special mummas out there! Prior to isolation I always made these special days free from work, biz and devices and cut myself some slack to be present with my family. But whilst we have been out in nature all afternoon with the family I have decided to give the kids their 30 min max recreational screen time which allows me to use this time to schedule the week ahead and prioritise my main activities for the week as: wife, mother, teacher, co...ordinator, coach and ‘Bel’ (ME TIME!). I have learned to be realistic in what I can achieve in my weeks these days understanding that like most parents I am also home schooling. My usual 3 x days a week 9am 3pm, free from children are now occupied and so I strip back my schedule to ensure my passions are still moving forward and of course ME time is still prioritised. What is 1 thing this week you will commit to do for yourself this week which is not work, home schooling or household chores?
19.01.2022 "What shapes our EGO's? We have spent years building our ego: our self-images , living inside of them, and reinforcing them. It really is much more comfortable to stay within your EGO instead of trying to extract our GENUINE SELF from within it. . Someone recently said to me it takes effort to show initiative and put forward what you believe in and its much easier to let your EGO get in the way and run the way you have always - to conform despite what your passions an...d / or values or beliefs are. . It is definitely a challenge to control the EGO but more of a challenge to ensure the culture you ‘exist’ within doesn’t influence or control it! . Take notice of how you feel , live and act within your different social, work, personal settings - does your EGO take over or are you pleasantly living as your GENUINE SELF ?" See more
15.01.2022 There have been so many things in my life I have done out of my comfort zone and it seems the older I get as a mother I am reluctant to step out of my comfort zone. Can anyone else relate? One thing is for sure: every time I have stepped out of my comfort zone - whether it be that presentation in front of a large group of people figure competitions stepping up in my career, dealing with something unexpected or that simple yet scary difficult conversation I have ha...d to have - I have always been performing as me and in alignment to my values. Have you thought about why you may not want to step out of your comfort zone?? #comfortzones #steppingup #challengingyourself #selfgrowth #developing #lifestylechange #thetimeisnow

10.01.2022 So many people are unaware of how they show up on a daily basis - in their family situation, their workplaces or even when they are alone. . Their controlling conversations and condescending behaviours are often talked about without them knowing but in actual fact there is no ‘conscious’ intention to come across in such a way as they simply do not know what they don’t know. . We all know these type - the type who have absolutely no self awareness of what they say, how it is... said or how they behave. This is in fact a skill and actually requires learning! . Self reflection can never be underestimated especially in today’s society. Striving to be a better person each and every day is truely a goal in itself yet so many fail to recognise it. . I believe before we judge or become so aware of others it is important to have a strong level of self awareness and to actually admit when your not really performing at your best in your relationships . At the beginning the self awareness mirror will show cracks but once you do some work it will shine back crystal clear and you will actually love your reflection. . #selfawarenessiskey #loveyourself #timetolearn #awarenessofothers #bestversionofyourself #givecredit #alwayslearning #learnlivebreathe

02.01.2022 For those who have experienced conflict in their workplace or those currently involved in some sort of conflict in their workplace, I get it! And I know how you are feeling!! . Thanks to Brené Brown I have reflected on my personal experience and in my most recent article I express how vulnerability was key for me to break through a workplace situation I experienced 14 years ago. . For those currently experiencing conflict in your workplace or perhaps in another area of life... vulnerability may be the key to unlocking it. . Grab a cuppa and have a read of my experience and my message for all employers and employees. . I would love to hear your thoughts on how vulnerability has supported you during your life. https://learnlivebreathe.com/vulnerability/
01.01.2022 One of my passions when I talk to women I know is to inspire them to think about their passions outside their careers and motherhood or their relationships with their loved ones. I love to encourage Women to put some energy into actioning their goals and dreams , to get back to their 'used to do' passions no matter how huge the task seems at a particular point in time. Tonight I got thinking about those things I have dreamt about and now achieved and how I got to achieve the...m, despite my intense busy career and the most important role of my life - motherhood! Rather than talk about this right now, I wanted to share with you an amazing extract from one of my favourite books "Beauty from the inside out", Dr Libby Weaver. Although this extract relates to finding your beauty, the concepts mentioned can also be applied to you finding and believing in your passions. I hope you take the time to soak this up and really think about your dreams, passions and aspirations beyond your careers and relationships and that like your beauty you don't stop believing in them! I would love to know how you feel when you read this and whether you are inspired to now think about your passions you are yet to pursue Lots of love and energy to you all. Bel
