25.01.2022 The children at Learn and Play participated in making Non Bake Anzac Biscuits. A simple recipe which produces quick biscuits without the hassle of baking while having all the healthy ingredients; giving children the nutritious benefits in a quick time so they can celebrate their own home made biscuits immediately. Children showed a great ability to listen to instructions and understand their meaning within a group activity, sharing , giving turns and entering in a discussion about the topic which they all showed some kind of previous knowledge about to share with their peers and educators.

01.01.2022 Dear Families, Children belong first to a family, a cultural group, a neighbourhood and a wider community. Belonging acknowledges childrens interdependence with others and the basis of relationships in defining identities. In early childhood, and throughout life, relationships are crucial to a sense of belonging. Belonging is central to being and becoming in that it shapes who children are and who they can become. Children learn about themselves and construct their own ident...ity within the context of their families and communities. This includes their relationships with people, places and things and the actions and responses of others. Identity is not fixed. It is shaped by experiences. When children have positive experiences they develop an understanding of themselves as significant and respected, and feel a sense of belonging. Relationships are the foundations for the construction of identity who I am, how I belong and what is my influence? Providing Beautiful pictures of families only tell half the story. Actually, this year We need to go further and discover more about the families and children. Families are kindly requested to provide photos of childrens family, extended family, friends and social connections and if you can kindly add notes and descriptions of childrens family life . You can always be part of the Curriculum decision making and contribute to each childs learning and development outcomes in relation to their identity, connection with community, wellbeing, confidence as learners and effectiveness as communicators. Hoping to receive some beautiful Family, Extended Family, Friends and Social connections photos :) Cheers !
