19.01.2022 my current monthly rant... good driving habits!!! - keep 3 or more seconds away from the vehicle in front of you... look into intersections regardless of having right of way... for more see https://www.keys2drive.com.au/check-your-driving-habits

19.01.2022 Here's a few good driving habits again - get these good habits going early in your driving career and you will be set for both your drive test and driving safely for life! Ensure your maximum speed is always slightly under the speed limit. Slow down if you can't see what's happening five vehicles in front of you.... Slow down at intersections and look for other cars even if you have right of way Look over your shoulder (headcheck) before beginning to change lanes and in other situations where vehicles could be in your blind spot. Stop for green lights when traffic in front of you is not leaving the intersection. Stop for amber lights unless it is not safe. Stay at least three seconds travel time behind the car immediately in front of you. Leave a space, when stopping behind a vehicle, to drive around it if you have to. For more good driving habits see https://www.keys2drive.com.au/

18.01.2022 The myLearners app has been upgraded after some issues with the app over the long weekend. Be sure to upgrade the app on your device to continue logging your drives. For more information check in with VicRoads updates via their FB page, or here at the myLearners Community

17.01.2022 tuned into 774 today after a lesson to hear these delightful words of wisdom about 'this journey through life' from traffic reporting person Andrew 'Crookie' Crook. I only managed to catch from 17:39 for a few minutes... absolute pearls of traffic wisdom - loved it!! Do yourself a favour - have a listen and enjoy the 'crookfest'!

16.01.2022 Morning folks! Yes, I'm back teaching manual driving lessons in a COVIDSAFE way... If you wish to book a lesson please get in touch with me. VicRoads in regional areas has resumed working through the backlog of postponed license tests. If you had a test postponed, keep an eye out for an SMS from VicRoads regarding re-booking it. If you are experiencing undue hardship by not having your license, apply via the VicRoads website to book a priority appointment. Find out if you are eligible here: https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/l/priority-test-application

10.01.2022 "Can I go for a drive or a motorbike ride as a recreational activity? Under the new directions, you are able to go for a drive. Practice driving is now permitted, as well as attending driving lessons. Victorians are being asked to use common sense when it comes to travelling. If you can walk or exercise near your home, you should. " Bookings may resume next week for driving lessons for those who have had tests cancelled or been unable but ready to book their tests due to th...e recent Government restrictions. VicRoads are not yet offering Learner Permit, Hazard Perception or Drive Tests. Please call Robyn for further information regarding manual driving lesson availability on 0401917741. https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/sport-cultural-and-recreational

06.01.2022 Happy IsoFriday folks! Here is a small reminder that school zones are back in operation even if the kids are learning from home. Please obey the school zone signs and slow down below 40kph from 8-9.30am and again from 2.30-4pm. Remember that you must wait until all pedestrians (including the crossing supervisor) are off the crossing before you drive off. Drive safely and keep our kids safe too!

03.01.2022 Message to all my current and upcoming students and their supervisors: In case you haven't heard, the Government has announced Stage 3 restrictions. In accordance with this, I have suspended all driving lessons until further notice. All Victorians are being encouraged to stay home and I urge you to do the same. Take the time to slow down, reflect and chill. Remain connected online and through the phone even though you can’t meet face-to-face, and remember to take time out fro...m social media too!. I will keep you informed as soon as I’m up and running again. In the meantime, stay safe and well Robyn https://www.abc.net.au//victoria-stage-3-coronavi/12101632 See more
