04.01.2022 To my loyal and valued customers over the past 3 years, it is with a deep heart reget and much disappointment that I must say goodbye to you all and inform you, that as of today, i will no longer be taking on any further work as the Leatherman for NTH QLD. Due to circumstances out of my control I must leave Woodstock in a few weeks, and will be relocating to Western Australia to be with family. To customers who still have their saddles with me, if I have not already contact...ed you, rest assured, you will hear from me within the next 2 weeks that your saddles are repaired and ready for collection. I would personally like to thank all of my customers for their valued support and business. A huge thank you also to Rex and Anne at Lanskeys Saddlery along with the lovely staff there, Casey and Mark at Tack Traders for all their valuable help/assistance and referrals. A special mention to the late Tom Parry, who entrusted me to continue his high standard of workmanship with his loyal customers, not long before his passing..It was an honour, sir!! 02.01.2022 Had this 1914 Australian light horse saddle delivered by a a discerning customer couple months back, I have been researching and scouring the web and awaiting period correct fittings to restore this amazing beauty back to its glorious days!!! Unfortunately the brass "D" required is impossible to purchase so fortunately a very happy customer , who came to me a couple weeks back with a saddle repair, fixed on the day within an hour while they waited, is a talented forger and is endeavouring to replicate the original piece for me. It's a delite and privilege for a saddler that has been in the business for over 45yrs to see these relics being appreciated and restored by members of the public and private collectors.
02.01.2022 The last 3 weeks I've had 4 saddles in that other people have tried to do repairs them self it just makes my job harder and costs them more to get it fixed
