24.01.2022 Today we remember Sarah Spiers 25 years ago, a beautiful young eighteen year old woman, ventured out with friends for a night out... Little did she, her friends or her family realise it would be the beginning of a long and torturous nightmare for those who knew her... Eighteen year old Sarah Ellen Spiers was last seen in the early hours of Saturday 27th January 1996 as she left a night club in St Quentins Avenue, Claremont Western Australia.... Sarah had been enjoying a night out with friends at Club Bay View, when she expressed to one of her friends she was feeling tired and planned on catching a cab to head home. Her friend mentioned she was just about ready to leave as well and suggested they catch a cab together, but was just going in to see if their other friend was also ready to leave. In the time it took for her friends to say goodbye to other party goers in the Club, Sarah had already left the building. Sarah was seen walking out of the club at approximately 1:30am. Records state Sarah called for a taxi cab from a telephone booth on the corner of Stirling Road and Stirling Highway Claremont at 2:06am. In the eight minutes it took for the taxi cab to arrive, Sarah had disappeared. Since Sarah's disappearance, there have been extensive inquiries by police and family members, along with comprehensive media coverage and appeals. But sadly Sarah remains missing. In 2016 a suspect was charged with the murders of Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon - these women were abducted and subsequently murdered in Claremont in the 13 months after Sarah disappeared. Although charged with the disappearance and suspected murder of Sarah, last year (2020) the man was sentenced to life in prison for the deaths of Jane and Ciara, however there was not enough evidence to find him guilty for Sarah's disappearance. A caring, loving, responsible, considerate woman, with a dry sense of humour, Sarah is deeply missed by her family and friends. It is completely out of character for Sarah to not keep in contact and would not accept lifts from strangers. There are serious concerns for her safety and welfare. At the time of her disappearance, Sarah was described as standing 160cm tall (5 ft 3 in) with a slim build. Sarah has a fair complexion with green eyes and had shoulder length blonde hair at the time of her disappearance. Sarah also has a small scar on her forehead, and one on the tip of her nose. Sarah was last seen wearing a light coloured T-Shirt, beige shorts and a black denim jacket. Sarah would now be aged 43 years old. If you have any information which may assist police to locate Sarah, please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and help put an end to this family's anguish. Someone, somewhere, knows something... Could that someone be you? PLEASE Contact Crime Stoppers today

21.01.2022 Australia is a beautiful, vast open country, with sweeping plains, scenic flora and fauna, unique icons, stunning scenery, exquisite backdrops and breathtaking views. Australia is also well known for some of the most amazing bushland and national parks, ideal for bushwalking - the opportunity to experience unique Australian Nature, off the beaten track. But, even for the most experienced of bushwalkers, it can also be one of the most dangerous places for bushwalking. Rugged ...and difficult terrain, dense bushland, steep cliffs and dropoffs, isolated and uninhabitable, the terrain can be extremely unforgiving. Sadly, one of the most popular past times to enjoy for leisure, has also become a statistic for why loved ones can go missing... 20 days to go until our Leave A Light On event, don't forget to mark it in your diary!!!
21.01.2022 WE ARE RECRUITING We are in need of: Canine Handlers... Search Technicians Support Staff Search Dogs Sydney is an entirely voluntary organisation and is completely reliant on the time that people are prepared to invest in fundraising, training and most importantly, responding to call-outs to find missing people. Becoming a SDS Search Technician or Canine Handler requires a lot of time, dedication, the right skills, personality traits and rigorous training. Our Search and rescue canines are vital members of Search and rescue teams and they work with their handlers to locate victims both alive and dead. Our Search Technicians and Canine Handlers therefore should enjoy working with dogs, must enjoy being outdoors in all types of weather, be physically fit, able to stay calm in a crisis and will work well as a member of the team. Canine Handlers must also be prepared to put in the time to train their own dog. We don’t train your dog for you. It generally takes around 2 years to train a search dog. If this sounds like you please lodge an expression of interest using the link below If you are now thinking an operational role probably isn’t for you, we also need volunteers who support the team with vital fundraising, equipment maintenance, running the charity in the background and many other tasks. 16.01.2022 Today we remember Barbara Troughton Bright, bubbly, adventurous, and much loved by her family, friends, customers... This is Barbara Troughton and she is still missing. 5 years have now passed since the fateful day Barbara disappeared. 5 years in which Barbara's husband has travelled the painful journey of not knowing what happened to her.... The morning of 27th January 2016 started out like any other day.... Barbara's husband had no inkling before he left for work it would be the last time he would see her.... 5 long and heartbreaking years have now passed since that date, and he is still desperate to know what happened to her... Barbara Troughton was last seen on Wednesday 27th January 2016 by her husband just before he left their home in Newtown Toowoomba Queensland to go to work for the day. Barbara's husband had made her a coffee in bed, kissed her on the cheek and left for his job driving trucks. Barbara owns the Spar supermarket on Herries Street, and when she didn't arrive for work that day her employees became quite concerned, and police were notified of her disappearance. On further investigations by police, it is believed Barbara had left her residence on foot that morning with nothing more than the clothes she wore and $100 dollars in her pocket. There was an alleged sighting by a witness claiming they had seen Barbara get into a vehicle. However this sighting was unable to be confirmed. Barbara has not been seen since this date and has failed to make contact with family or friends. Although police do not suspect foul play in Barbara's disappearance, there are serious concerns for her safety and welfare, as Barbara had left a hand written note on the kitchen bench the morning she disappeared, addressed to her husband. The content within this note is quite concerning in relation to her state of mind. An IGA supermarket had recently opened not far from her supermarket and Barbara had concerns for her business. Barbara remains missing and as it is completely out of character for Barbara to simply disappear, her husband is desperate for answers. He appeals to anyone with information to PLEASE come forward. At the time of her disappearance, Barbara was described as standing 146cm tall (4 ft 9.5 in) with a proportional build. Barbara has a fair complexion, green eyes and red hair. 16.01.2022 Although this article is based out of the U.K. it touches on a topic that needs to be addressed world wide. Sadly, statistics show some people go missing for a short period of time, some may go missing time and time again, whilst others disappear for the long term increasing the risk of being a victim of crime. For those missing who come, support services need to be improved so they feel they do not need to disappear again... https://theconversation.com/we-do-nothing-for-missing-peopl
15.01.2022 "SOME VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION" The same day Nicola went missing there was a sighting south of Hobart, at a place called Southport. The Sallese family fought ...hard to get the area searched, and in early September of 2009, almost 10 months after the sighting a helicopter search took place. We believe this to be a credible sighting but at the time we were told that it wasn't due to the tourist not writing down the registration number of the car. Which is FH 2973. So if you live in the area or know someone that does, please be aware we are still searching for Nicola and his car. Contact Tasmania Police with any information you may have. Thanks everyone for your help. See more

06.01.2022 SPECIAL REQUEST How can one move on in life when one of the most important people in your life is missing? The pain does not ease, nor does the grief abate as the years pass, the hours filled with longing, hoping for answers. A dearly loved mother, Christine Fenner has been missing now for 21 years. Each day, Christine is never far from the minds of her family, one prominent question continues to plague them above all others - will they ever bring Christine home?... One day, maybe soon that question will be answered, but for that to happen Christine's family are reliant on someone coming forward with that longed for information... This beautiful woman is deeply missed by her family, if you have information on what happened to Christine, PLEASE call Crime Stoppers today... 49 year old Christine Maria Fenner (also known as Christine Newman) went missing from her home on Kirk Marule Road, Booyal QLD on Friday, 12th February 1999. Christine was last seen by a friend earlier in the day at approximately midday. When her defacto husband returned to their home at roughly 5:30pm that day, Christine was no where to be seen. Although her defacto checked through the house and asked the neighbours if they had seen her, he was not too concerned he could not locate her as she had previously disappeared for several days before she returned. On the 17th February 1999, Christine was officially listed as a missing person with police by her daughter. SES workers, the Fire Brigade and police performed a thorough search of the property but failed to locate Christine. Despite extensive police investigations, Christine remains missing. Although police have received information over the years from several resources, and have thoroughly investigated these allegations, they have led nowhere. At the time Christine disappeared, none of her personal items were taken. Items Christine would normally carry with her, such as her glasses, cigarettes and her usual footwear remained behind. Her bank accounts have not been accessed and she has not made contact with friends or family. At the time of her disappearance, Christine was described as standing 162cm tall with a slim build, Christine has blonde hair, green eyes and a tattoo on her left shoulder. Christine would now be aged 68 years old. If you have any information which may assist police to locate Christine, please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 If you know something If you have seen something If you have heard something Please make that call today! Please help bring Christine home to her family <3

05.01.2022 Today we remember Max Day 4 emotional years have now passed since a daughter last spoke with her dad... 4 emotional years a daughter has waited for answers... 4 emotional years of hoping to hear something, anything to know if her dad is safe... Eyes search the crowds of people, hoping for perhaps just a glimpse of a dearly missed father...... On Saturday 7th January 2017, 53 year old Max William Day left his home at Peak Hill NSW in his vehicle, a green 2000 Ford Fairmont. Max's vehicle was later located abandoned in a car park on Rankin Street Forbes NSW with no indication of where Max may have went next. It is alleged on Wednesday 25th January 2017, Max was picked up hitchhiking just outside of Forbes and dropped off at the Gooloogong Caravan Park. Max has not been seen or heard from since this date, nor has he accessed his bank accounts. There are concerns for his safety and welfare as it is uncharacteristic for Max not to keep in contact with his family. At the time of his disappearance, Max was described as standing 170cm tall with a medium build, grey hair, dark brown eyes and an olive complexion. Max would now be aged 58 years old. If you have any information which may assist police to locate Max and reunite him with his family, contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
05.01.2022 Birthday blessings Janine Birthday blessings to Janine Vaughan who should be celebrating her 51st birthday with her family and friends. With a smile to light up the room, and a personality to match, Janine would have been the shining light at her birthday party. Her bright, bubbly and effervescent self, so dearly missed by her family.... Janine's family have never giving up hope that phone call will come through with the information needed to finally bring her home... And with the recent publicity from the latest podcast by Hedley Thomas (The Night Driver) that phone call may be edging closer. On Thursday 6th December 2001, 31 year old Janine Vaughan had been enjoying a few drinks with friends at the Ox Hotel in Bathurst New South Wales, when she disappeared. Prior to her disappearance, in the early hours of Friday, 7th December, Janine was seen with her friends at the Tavern Nightclub. Later that morning, at approximately 4:00am, Janine was seen walking along Keppel Street, roughly about 40 metres in front of her friends, when a red car pulled up and Janine entered the vehicle. Janines friends called out to her but by this time the vehicle had already began to drive away. Janine has not been seen or heard from since this date. When Janine failed to attend work, her employer became concerned for her and reported her missing, as it was very out of character for Janine to not call in if she was unable to attend work. Despite investigations by police and the introduction of a 1 million dollar reward, Janine remains missing. A number of persons of interest have been listed in Janines disappearance, however there is not enough evidence to convict anyone. At the time of her disappearance, Janine was described as standing 164cm tall with a slim build, green eyes, blonde hair and a fair complexion. Janine would now be aged 51 years old. Have you seen something to help locate Janine? Have you heard something that can assist police? Do you know something that can end the heartbreaking wait for answers? If you have ANY information which may assist police and Janine's family to finally locate her, please call Crime Stoppers today on 1800 333 000 Links to The Night Driver podcast and Janine's group are attached in comments below.
