24.01.2022 So I guess today I let the cat out of the bag. At Brunswick show. 3 weeks ago I made the decision to have my young Stallion Lebonstern Altaire collected from and gelded. The reason for this was to make him more versatile and so he could become a top Show hunter as well as a top Dressage horse but also so we and others can still breed to him via Frozen AI. Well Neon no nuts really pulled it together I rushed him to his class without warm up and he was quite exuberant In his... canter transitions but his manners well amazing he was so well behaved and improved in every class. Well he didn’t disgrace himself at all taking home Reserve Champion Hunter and looking just stunning doing it. Then he went to my dads for a bath as there was no hose so he got to see a town backyard , apparently standing under the pergola was better than eating grass. The photographer took a stunning picture can’t wait to get it.

24.01.2022 Wanted Rental with 5-10 acres 3x1 minimum. Paddocks arena stables and shed desirable but not essential needs to be at least 4 paddocks. Upto $600 week. No further than serpentine/ Baldivis or Bedfordale. Son is at school in Murdoch.

23.01.2022 Just a little of my life thats not about horses my beautiful little girl just loves to dance.

22.01.2022 Welsh D Stallion - Breaker Bit of an update of the little ( because everything else I ride is 17hh) stallion Im breaking in. Uno is a 10 yr old welsh D stallion who has pretty much been a paddock puff all his life. ... I had to start with a few ground manners and just put him in a more respectful place before I started his ridden work as respect on the ground = respect under saddle. At this time they also learn voice commands which I then transfer onto them under saddle. These are simple one word commands the horse instantly knows what Im asking for by voice when I add in a leg aid. Uno is very reliant on the person on the ground and has really struggled with his own independence and doing things on his own with out a leader. This ride his 6th was his first ride with no assistance from the person on the ground at all. As you can see we now have walk to trot to Walk on both reins we have not touched on canter yet we will address this when he comes back from his 4/5 weeks thinking time back home. Watch this space we will have more videos up of his ground work sessions also.

22.01.2022 What a big weekend. Lebonstern Jive dragged out of the paddock yes he only got worked the Friday washed and plaited then dragged out two shows this weekend. Firstly Thankyou to both clubs for putting on such great days Magenup ARC for their beautifully run Hack and working Hunter day, And Pinjarra for their Matchy matchy hack day. Jayky did not disappoint all weekend bringing home a heap of places and 2 reserve champions. His behaviour was brilliant all weekend dispute th...e flies trying to take him away on both days ( poor boy was beside himself and had to work Sunday with a fly mask). thank you Alex Edwards for standing out in the sun Judging us on Saturday. The biggest Thankyou to both committees Cynthia Bailey and Shenae Tilbee who I know worked into the early hours of the mornings getting these events up and going for us to enjoy. Thank you to all the sponsors that help make these days achievable. Special thank you to Leigh White Saddlefitting and Mandurah Stockfeeds for Sponsoring Ring 5 and Samantha Jessey and penciller ( not to sure who that was sorry) For standing out in the sun for the day judging. 22.01.2022 Barney needs a new Friend. 15.2hh TB Gelding 16yrs, no health issues. Everything upto date including teeth ( booked for this week) I have had 4 rides on this boy now and his laid back accepting attitude is just amazing he arrived in the dark straight into a paddock he didnt know, he wasnt stressed or fussed at all. We lunged him the first day as he has been in a paddock for 3 years down south. ... He has accepted everything. After 2 rides I had a raw beginner on him with not an issue at all he just took it all. I took him for a Walk our the back on his second ride no separation anxiety or jogging while out. I have not popped him over jumps but I will this week after his teeth are done. If you are looking for a genuine quiet horse with some training under his belt very solid novice level with some laterals. He would suit a range of disciplines from trail riding to ARC to pony club he wouldnt disgrace in the odd show and is eligible or OTT. His price is negotiable at 2.5.0.0 He will be under 2-3 weeks training which will continue regardless if sold prior. Pm me See more

07.01.2022 Today we ventured to Serpentine Hack Show with Lebonstern Altaire again such a beautiful grounds great hospitality and was nice to see so many people just havin...g fun. Today was not Neons day we only did 2 classes but he just was not happy and acting really not himself. so I pulled him out of the rest no ribbon is worth him working unhappy. I’m saying this between his unhappy points his work was fantastic. But what made me prouder was seeing one of my client Rebecca Ricciardo horse step out and take champion Hack in her class. At her first ever ridden show with him. So in my eyes this was more a win than a ribbon around my boys neck. Just a few pics of Neon least he still looks good not going so well . 03.01.2022 My Red head does it again. This time at the West Coast Show Case very well run by SPPHAWA. Lebonstern Applause aka Missi is my hidden Gem she gets boug...ht out of the paddock with minimal work 2-3 days most and prepared and taken to a show. My Missi didn’t put A foot wrong she was perfect. Thankyou Bonnie Bella For standing out in the rain and running her out for me, for Reserve WB mare and Reserve Hunter Mare and then watching miss K while I rode her in the ridden classes. She worked a treat and flaked in all her ridden classes, unfortunately a slip in the canter made her a little less sure footed resulting in a bit of tension but she still managed to pull out 2 first and 2 seconds . Huge shoutout to Oakford Pool Supplies and Service and Tony Skeats for Sponsoring the WB’s even though we did not get supreme we thank you for your sponsorship. Missi you are just like your mother in so many ways. 01.01.2022 Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing the monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.

01.01.2022 One of the breakers a Welsh D Stallion. He has been in for 3 weeks. We have spent 1 week on ground manners and mouthing 1 week on mouthing with direction and backing (putting weight on and sitting only) then this is his second ride off lead he will continue with 10 rides under saddle then will return home for 4 weeks of thinking time then return for another 3-4 weeks to consolidate his work load. In the next 8 rides he will learn walk trot and canter on both reins and learn what contact is. My biggest focus is horses going forward when asked to a soft contact, stopping when asked ( not when they think its time to stop) and listening to the seat and leg. We will have more videos of his progress over the next 10 days.
