The question is whether the underlying drivers are shifting or whether correction periods are more technical in nature. The size of last night’s correction would indicate there is a large technical element to the sell off (6% declines are not normal). But, this fits squarely with the idea that in recent days markets were moving on the basis of FOMO (fear of missing out).
