01.01.2022 How attached are you to PayPal? So PayPal is going to implement their new policies in October after delaying it due to push back from their users. Now the hate has quietened down they can push them through. What are these changes? Well PayPal will keep the merchant fee on refunds. Lucky for us we dont have to offer refunds often but this also applies to any case of a refund. For example what if you accidentally ordered 2 of something or you made an order but had to cancel ri...ght afterwards? PayPal keeps the 2.6% fee! As a business we dont want to be jerks and say "sorry there is a 2.6% restocking fee". The other option is we could average out our costs and increase prices, also a jerk move. There is one other option though.. We give the middle finger to PayPal and look for alternatives like Square Payments and Stripe. But we would like to know how much do you depend or need PayPal to process your online purchases? Do you use it as a secondary account to make online purchases or do you just use it because it connects to your bank and can process debit cards? Comment and let us know your thoughts!
