On a sweltering Australian summer night, that becomes ineffective to air quality management. This is another good reason to switch to cool LED lighting right now. A great benefit of LED lighting is that is that it doesn't get hot since any heat is dissolved through the design of the diode and heat sink, whilst fluorescent, halogen, and CFL light bulbs generate a lot of radiant heat. Bear in mind though that LEDs can get hot, but only if they are used in the wrong way.

In order to dim them, they are switched on and off very rapidly, even faster than the human eye can see so they can be controlled. However, not all LED light bulbs are designed for dimming, so if you want to use a dimmer, you should buy the bulbs that can be dimmed. Look out for the dimmable logo on the packaging when shopping for LED light bulbs. In a lot of cases, you can also use your existing dimmer switches. All you need to do is remove your current light bulb and replace it with a dimmable LED light bulb.
