25.01.2022 We will be at the market. Come and say hi

24.01.2022 The 'Nannas for Native Forests' arrived in the forest before dawn, setting up camp with a marquee, colourful banners, cups of tea and picnic chairs, determined ...to stop the logging of WA's South West's precious native forests. Inspired by the seven grandmothers who stopped logging earlier this month, a mass blockade is underway this morning with 40 (!!!) grandmothers and their support crew stopping logging in its tracks in Helms Forest. 23.01.2022 Let’s change the way we treat addiction: The use of both legal and illegal drugs may harm individual users, their families and the community. The current punitive model is failing to reduce harm resulting from illicit drug use. The Greens (WA) recommend the legalisation of the use and supply of cannabis with appropriate regulation and taxation and the decriminalisation1 (as distinct from legalisation) of the personal use of other drugs.... The Greens (WA) believe in an approach that is evidence-based and that seeks to prevent and minimise harm as the most effective way to manage these issues, irrespective of whether the drugs are legal or illegal. This approach should accord with the recommendations of the Global Commission on Drugs Policy* and robust scientific evidence.

11.01.2022 Zoom meetings in the time of covid-19. Nothing exposed the inadequacy of the poorly executed NBN like these meetings.

09.01.2022 Lidia Thorpe, new Greens senator from Victoria. Her story is powerful and inspirational. She is correct: Parliament needs to reflect the people it serves. Representative government working for the people.
