An ever-reliable performer, Ethan again showed leadership this week by directing his team-mates into the correct defensive positions on court as well as using his voice to encourage his less experienced team members to work to the best of their abilities. 15.01.2022 Many players are told by their parents and coaches over and over again that more touches is going to make them a better player, but then when it comes to the game they never perform at their fullest potential and they start falling apart under pressure. Over the last 18 months I’ve talked to many players and parents about this issue and We have helped many of those players eliminate fear and become Dominant Leaders/valued contributors on their teams. If your player is struggl...ing on the court and isn't performing at their fullest potential. And you want to see how they can become an absolute BEAST on and off the court then join our Basketball Mentoring & High Performance program. Limited bookings (max 20) will open soon for our Basketball Mentoring & High Performance 8 week program starting in mid Jan 2021.

15.01.2022 This week’s Leedy Cubs defensive player of the game goes to Lex. With one big man down this week, Lex stood tall, playing out of position. He secured plenty of rebounds for the under-sized Cubs and encouraged his team-mates to work hard defensively. As a new addition to the Cubs Lex brings incredible spirit and a huge appetite to make a difference on the defensive end of the court. Well done Lex!

15.01.2022 This week’s Defensive player of the game goes to Lachlan! As a new member of the Cubs team Lachlan brings a great appetite to improve defensively. This week he set the tone for the Cubs by chasing down loose balls and pressuring all entry passes. Lachlan is proving to be a sponge for knowledge and his improvements are rapid. Well done Lachlan, keep it up!

08.01.2022 What a rewarding way to round out the basketball season before the Christmas break. Last week’s defensive player of the game went to Jeremy. Week in, week out Jeremy is knocking on the door for this award. He’s fearless and works his tail off for his Cubs team-mates. Well done Jeremy! And this week it was Lex. Lex played on huge opponents all game. They were older and stronger than him but Lex, as usual competed again, again and again until somehow we find him with the ball. What a wonderful group of kids with the right attitude to team sports. Well done boys, well done Cubs.

01.01.2022 Week two's defensive player of the week goes to new Leedy Cub recruit Leon. In the latter part of the second half with plenty of tired boys, Leon secured a rebound after competing with three taller opponents. Well done Leon! Showing the Cubs spirit!

01.01.2022 Record broken- At Saturdays game we fielded the youngest team in U12’s history. Special thanks to our u10 Backfill legends Paddy(7), Jackson(8) & Max (8) who jumped at the opportunity to play up an age group and save the forfeit as the Div1 Leedy Lions had 3 boys out playing at State Champs. Playing with NO subs Jules(10) & Tommy (9) loved the opportunity to push boundaries and play with our future stars. The attitude and sportsmanship under extreme fatigue was amazing and the 3young pups were fearless.
