07.01.2022 Last weekend’s Western Victorian Crane Trucks Valley Stages was SO needed! After being prepped and ready to go for the Mitta Mountain Rally back in March, sitting impatiently, waiting for Victorian Rallying’s return seemed to take forever! But wow! What an event we had! We finally got to buckle up for a weekend of fun in the Ultimate Subaru Spares WRX and the wait was worth it by the end of SS1. We had no plans other than to HAVE FUN, get some seat time and fine tune the part...nership, so we were beyond stoked to have finished 3RD OUTRIGHT! There’s a big list of important thankyous to follow: Thanks to Tracy and Ollie for the support in the run up to the event and for cheering for us from a little more further away than usual! Thanks to Tom for geeing Annie up all week and for staying just far enough ahead of us all weekend so as not to psych us out! HUGE thanks to Matt and Steve for a stellar servicing job all day. We were quite the awesome foursome and there's obviously no Matt and Annie without a Matt (and now a Steve too!) Thanks guys, you made the event flow smoothly for us. BIG BIG thanks to our sponsors. We were excited to finally have your names all over the car and really appreciate the support. Mozza, you’re just the best and we love running the Ultimate Subaru Spares car with your unwavering faith and support. Thanks to Stuckey Tyre Service for backing us with the Dunlop Tyres . They were just flawless for the whole day and we love the confidence that they’re bringing to the car! The same also goes for Motorsport Brakes . The Circo brakes did their job as they always do, but also got us out of some interesting spots on the road once or twice and we are grateful. Our Zero Noise Intercom from DTG Race Products was excellent and we loved the ability to call ahead to the crew from our helmets when Matt drank too much water and needed a top up at refuel! IMMACULATE SIGNS did a very cool job on the stickers for the car and they really jazzed her up for the big day. Thank you. We also appreciate the work Motion Performance Exhaust Centre put into the exhaust system on the car at the start of the year! Thanks Adrian. And a very special thanks to Justin Dowel for the backing of and Jason Werner for providing, the faultless build of our amazing new Modena Engineering H pattern gearbox. Thanks to Nissan Car Club Australia Inc and Craig, Aidan and the team for staying the distance through all that 2020 threw at them to bring us a fabulous event. A great mix of roads to keep us on our toes, a well-planned and safe format that got us all back in the forest and just enough crappy weather to make it all very, very interesting! Lastly, congratulations to Darren Windus and Joe Brkic on your win and Frank Liucci and Tom Ruessman on your 2nd place.
