19.01.2022 Cost of cakes. The Easy Wedding survey shows the cost in WA is high in comparison to the rest of Australia. Perhaps it is the costs of transporting the flour across the Nullabor. Average for Australia is $538 and WA is $594. Perhaps try something different or find an aunty like we did.

12.01.2022 How much should I pay for a celebrant? Well that is like how long is a piece of string. I have heard of some celebrants quoting $300. I would wonder what is provided for that amount. Remember the amount of work is roughly around 15 hours - give or take a bit. Will they start to add on for items as you go along? In the eastern states I have heard them charge over $1000. Lee bases her quotes on the type of wedding service required and any travel costs. Starting from $400 (legals only) up to $700 for all the bells and whistles. 10.01.2022 Corona Virus. I am not a medical expert and will not give out medical advice. One question I received was "will I be able to kiss my husband when we are declared husband and wife?". While it is advocated not to go around and kiss everyone at your wedding . what you do with your husband is your choice . What if I have to cancel our wedding due to the virus? I can still do the legals with yourself and 2 witnesses and then later have a commitment ceremony with your family and friends. The biggest cost to you will be the venue and catering. With inquiries for weddings now coming in, it is time I put on my big girl pants and get back to business. We can now have groups of up to 100 people with the social distancing rules in place.
