13.01.2022 The team from Paranormal Prospectors visited Clunes this weekend and one of the sites they investigated was our Bottle museum. As you know, many people including volunteers, guests, workers etc have experienced things in this building that they can’t explain. I too experienced something different that night that I can’t explain - table tipping! In the video below, there is myself and 3 other Clunes locals and we have our fingers lightly touching an ordinary side table that manages to tip up and tilt all on its own. Freaky!!! The paranormal team says that the table is another avenue for communication. Weird or what! I can assure you that we are not making this happen. Have you ever experienced anything like this? Go and check out the Bottle museum and see if you can pick up on something- it’s a Paranormal hot spot!

10.01.2022 the website is now live come visit us by clicking on the learn more button.

04.01.2022 The doll with no name - circa 1880 Tucked in the corner of the bar area lies this fascinating doll. She was made in the 1880’s from paper machete and raffled at the Colac fair in 1884. A lucky little girl named Mable Wheadon was the very happy recipient of the doll when her father gave it to her for being a good girl. Of course the doll was looking a lot more lovely back then, but managed to make her journey to Clunes over 50 years ago and has remained in the family ever since. She is now proudly displayed for all to see in the Bottle Museum - have you seen her with your own eyes? I can tell you that she is quite a scary sight when you shine a torch on her in the dark. Come along and check her out as she definitely oozes history - they don’t make dolls like this anymore! Shall we call her Annabelle?

03.01.2022 Have you visited the Lee Medlyn collection yet? This is an amazing building full of history and rich in relics of yesteryear. Check out the Clunes township replica and take a walk through a mine in the dark. Well worth a visit - Open weekends and only $3 per person
