13.01.2022 Easier said then done. But even if you just take 5 mins to take a deep breath and check in with yourself, this can be enough to boost your spirits for the rest of the day. Look after yourselves

12.01.2022 A gentle reminder for the kind of love our kids need. We go through the motions every day and I know we all love our kids. Let's remember the meaningful moments that we all need, not just our kids

06.01.2022 Have you ever told your child to say sorry to another child for an accident they caused? Have you then thought "I have no idea why I'm making my child do this... neither child is benefiting from the blasé "sorry"... I have. It turns in to an argument and my child feels like she's in trouble- while really it was just an accident. I came across this article and I am officially in love and going to start implementing it in my home!... Read this and tell me what you think! Yay or nay? https://offspring.lifehacker.com/what-to-say-to-little-kids

06.01.2022 Topic for discussion: What do you think about teaching your children meditation? At home, I am using The Smiling Mind app with my 4 year old to teach her to use her breathing to help calm her when she is feeling frustrated. In a way, this is meditation, but, I feel it is a more age appropriate level for my 4 year old. ... And yes, at times, mostly when I am frustrated she will come to me and say "mum, we need to take a deep breath now." So I do feel that teaching 8 year olds meditation would lead to a more peaceful world. What do you think?

05.01.2022 ... And maybe to go with it

05.01.2022 Hey Mamas, did you know that "W-sitting" may actually be an issue with core strength and balance??

04.01.2022 Weekend challenge! Name 5 things that you do during your day - that takes just a few minutes- to 'recharge' and 'refresh' your emotions and make you happy. It could be something like- * A nice cup of tea- one that's hot- not stone cold by the time you remember * A quick walk outside in the sunshine/ garden... * Deep breathing exercise Let me know!

04.01.2022 A lovely lady I know shared this article with me... It's a very interesting read about how emotions pass through our body in 90 seconds and how we can choose to accept them without judgement and let them go, or hold on to them while they intensify.... Worth a read Have a good day everyone! ... https://www.elephantjournal.com//the-life-changing-90-sec/

04.01.2022 Happy Easter everyone! What did you do?? We went camping over the break top Kenilworth with extended family. Just thought I'd share this proud mama moment!! A big group of adults and kids went for a big walk up a few steep hills! Little miss has loads of energy but wasn't super keen on these big hills! But she stuck to it and got to the top!! A little bit of persistence goes a long way!! ... And also- keep encouraging each other up those really steep hills we're all climbing! See more
