19.01.2022 Breaking News Thanks to your support, our Squad has gained 3rd place (Zone 2) in the Essential Energy Community Choices Program and has been awarded a sum of $1,500 These funds will be put towards the purchase of some new Rescue Equipment !! We could not have done it without your help, so to all of our friends that voted for us, we are extremely grateful !!... Thank You !!

We are extremely lucky to have great Trainers & Assessors in our organization providing real life hands on expertise to keep our Volunteers up to speed with the most efficient Rescue Techniques!! Well done to all of the crew at Burren Junction on what looked like a great weekend

15.01.2022 To all our valued supporters & followers. In response to the Covid19 Pandemic currently sweeping the world, a BCP (Business Continuity Plan) has been enacted for our Rescue Squad. Until further notice, We will be unable to have any squad visits by members of the public and will therefore not be taking any new trainees on board until further notice. All events in which our squad were to participate in have either been cancelled or postponed. Our weekly training sessions & mont...hly meetings have also been postponed but with a make-shift roster for maintenance and equipment checks. We WILL however still be responding to any Rescue Related tasks and continuing our Important Service to our wonderful community during these uncertain times 24/7 .... Please stay safe, practice good hygiene, take on board the advice of the Health Professionals and remain positive! #vrarescue

10.01.2022 3 of our Rescue Operators are currently providing assistance at the Dunn’s Rd fire which has impacted around the Batlow, Tumblong, Adelong & Tumbarumba areas. A wide variety of tasks have been undertaken such as door knocks & welfare checks, food & water drops (as pictured), re fuelling of generators at essential infrastructure sites and other logistics tasks. Hats off to all the hardworking Emergency Service personnel fighting to bring these fires under control.... #vrarescue #helpinghandanywhereanytime

10.01.2022 An early morning wake up call for our crew today after this ute had a little mishap at about 5:30am Thankfully there was no injuries sustained but the driver was checked over by our friends from NSW Ambulance as a precaution..... #vrarescue

05.01.2022 1 of our Rescue Operators (Paul) along with an R.O (Jack) from Corowa Rescue Squad - NSW Volunteer Rescue Association Inc. teamed up to assist Bega District Rescue Squad NSW Volunteer Rescue Association Inc. in the Bega, Merimbula, Candelo and Wyndham area over the past week. The crew teamed up with Police, SES and Army personnel to deliver messages, advice and supplies to those in the areas which came under threat from the Border & Big Jack Mountain fires...... Hats of to our friends from the RFS , National Parks, Fire+Rescue and all other agencies for the continued effort in bringing these blazes under control.... #vrarescue
